Was one of the hottest prospects in Europe 18 months ago. Still only 21.

As a loan with an option I really don’t see a down side to this.

Very highly rated and had a decent breakout season last year and previous season he had 19 goal contributions (10 goals 9 assists for Parma)

Only small down side potentially , he is a self confessed gooner :hungover: ?

As others have said, if it's a loan with an option (not obligation) then it could prove a shrewd move as he was highly touted but I'd be lying if I wasn't underwhelmed after what we had been previously trying to pull off.

If I'm honest there's other castoffs from Juve I wouldn't mind :cautious:

Very underwhelming compared to Diaz, but it’s where we seem to be as a club.

I just really hope it works out, it’s about time one did. Let’s be honest though he’s clearly a plan b or c option which isn’t reassuring and doesn’t bode well.

Absolute dogshit stat from dreary negative clickbait merchants.

Don't know much about the guy other than that he's ugly as sin. 21 years old, looks 45.

Those eyes have clearly seen things.

Sign him up.
Also the only ginger person in Sweden!

I've never been impressed whenever I've seen him but at least he fills a position we need. I can only hope Conte approves of it, that's ultimately what matters.

If loan with option who cares? It’s a 5 month try before you buy situation. If he’s good, we buy him. If he stinks, we don’t. We definitely need someone who can cut in from the right or play behind the strikers if we are getting rid of (or unwilling to play) Dele and Gio.

Worth bearing in mind that he was playing with Ronaldo last year, who seems to make everyone around him worse.

This year he’s only managed 5 starts. Seems like he could do with a fresh start.

As others have said he was an elite young talent only 18 months ago after a stellar year at Parma.

In one sense it's a relief to see there was indeed a backup in place for Diaz. On the other hand, why? This clearly isn't the biggest problem area in the squad, we were told that Diaz was a one-off opportunity to get a top quality player, clearly not the area of greatest deficiency in the squad.
And this is a one off opportunity to get one of the top young prospects in world football on a loan to buy deal. He’s had a tough time the last 12-18 months, but before that he was already tearing up Serie A at 18/19 and incredibly highly rated.

Conte was promised an attacker, not a striker, and when you can get a young one with bags of talent you do it.

At least we had a plan B I suppose...

Im from Sweden and follow spurs and the Swedish nationalteam frequently.

Im telling you right now, he is gonna be another flop for us.

Really, really sad news if this has legs.

Why is this?

He looks to have some good characteristics to do well in a Conte team (in the Moura slot). Hardworking, decent size and a good left foot. Juve have been a bit of a mess since he joined them. He's not rapid but hardly slow either.

I'm sure you've seen a lot more of him than I have so just curious mainly?

A winger who is not quick and agile will definitely suit the premier league :geek:

...in all seriousness, if it's a loan with an option then we've got nothing to lose I guess.

As a Swede I've been following him quite closely and he is a really good player.

With us missing out on Diaz, I feel this is a bit underwhelming but at the same time I'm positive he fits the squad and our needs better.

He's an incredibly hardworking player, and has some Lamela in him in that sense. Still young, and can booth shoot and pass. High IQ, and with a good ball carrying ability.

I really like him playing in a forward duo for Sweden and could see him doing well as a back up to Kane if we're going 3-5-2, but I think he fits the inside 10 role very well with us too.

I'd rather we did splash some cash on Rapinha but this is not in any way a bad deal. Conte wanted him at Inter too.
