Early days, I know, but I can honestly see him becoming a pivotal player for us; someone we’ll be talking about in seven or eight years as having been one of our best players throughout the past decade. I love that he speaks with the same calm and clarity that he exhibits on the pitch. A few more like him, RB and CR this summer and we’ll be really cooking next season.
In terms of character and potential talent he reminds me of the era when we signed Vertonghen, Eriksen and Lloris - 3 really good, hyped up, young international players with a really mature outlook on the game that we got for very good prices. I was surprised that we managed to sign those 3 at the time and was similarly surprised we got Kulusevski, who was hugely hyped prior to Juve signing him.

If he'd gone to practically any club but Juve he'd have probably flourished, but thankfully he ended up at that basketcase of a club who didn't appreciate him which gave us the chance to sign him.

I get the feeling he'll be a mainstay of our first 11 for a long time, much like Lloris, Eriksen and Verts were in the previous cycle.

Where’s “the better signing” Luis Diaz’s Premier League POTM nomination?? ??

Interesting question. I think in terms of immediate need and impact, Kulu has been a more important new player for us, than Diaz for Liverpool. Also, keep in mind Kulu is 21. Diaz is 25. Who will have more significance on the team they play for? That’s easy to answer. And it may have been a blessing in disguise that we got him instead of the Colombian. Not cos one is so much better than the other. But Deki’s role in our system suits him perfectly. I actually don’t think Diaz would’ve settled as quickly with us.

A few days old but haven't seen this posted in here. Love his outlook and how much he's up for the challenge.

Hadn’t seen that so thanks for posting. Remarkably grounded and speaks like he’s in the twilight of his career. Very calm, focused. Can see Conte loving this guy…as we are beginning to.

Kulusevski not in the squad for Sweden game tonight, I’m assuming because of his facial injury.

Could he be a doubt for the weekend.

Won’t be going to the WC. Sad for him but probably a blessing for us next season to have some players resting during the tournament.

Tbh it’s gonna be a bit of a mid winter warm weather training camp. I don’t think it will do most much harm probably exactly same amount of game time as if here but in a nice climate.

Any teams that go deep, the players will be exhausted mentally and physically. The World Cup is intense, man.

No brainer.

If we have already agreed a total fee and we have no risk of the player being recalled then it makes complete sense for us to leave the payment until the final moment as the "real value" of the transfer fee is likely to be lower than what it is today. £30 million today is not the same as £30 million in 18 months
If guardian is accurate above, we have
1. Buy him this summer for 30m, pay wages next year as he'd be our player
2. Pay wages but stya on loan, buy him the day before mandatory clause kicks in at 30m still?
Seems almost too good to be true? Sure maybe more to it (like we pay more up front of the 30m and over shorter period if we wait?)
Otherwise juve really did need to move them quick (cough.. Cook the books... Cough)

I watched Poland V Sweden. A lot of huff and puff but no end product really from Sweden. Kulu tried to make things happen but was well martialed, still looked like one of their better players. I'm shocked Zlatan came on, I thought he had retired from international duty.

I still can't get over that Kulu is 21, he plays as if he's in his prime. Its scary to think how good he could possibly get

He did but he came back as soon as there was a chance to play in the last Euros.

Only Zlatan will know when Zlatan has retired. Not a topic to be discussed by inferior beings!

I think he's retired about 3 times now but keeps popping up when there's a tournament on the horizon.
