I was wrong about him - thought he would take the rest of the season to settle.

Really what we needed to partner with Kane and Son. Gives us the same composure in the attacking end that Bentancur provides in CM.

Wonder if he’ll switch to his favoured 44 shirt next year, or given 21 (also his international shirt number) has been quite lucky for hi, here so far stick with that?

He is already really good, imagine what a beast he could be in 4 or 5 years when he is starting to hit his peak.

Most guys his age aren't that strong and adaptable, he plays like he's a veteran in this league. Expected him to be more like Lamela or Son when they first got here, great in flashes, but he's incredibly consistent. I'm not even sure what's his biggest flaw that he should focus on, just keep working the same way I guess.

Absolute player. Strong, surprisingly quick, intelligent and hard working. Already established himself as a first 11 player and will only get better.

Might not have eye-catching blistering pace, but boy can this lad play. So, so good with the ball and fantastic movement. Love him.

I love how he never gives up on the play, fights through every challenge and keeps it going. So rare to see these days but I’m amazed how many second chances he creates just from playing hard.

I love the way he protects the ball.. His cross for Son’s goal was sublime.
Was about to write the same thing.

It's refreshing to see a player who takes accountability in possession and makes wise decisions as to when to just keep hold of the ball, slowing up the play or whether to shuffle the ball on quickly.

Seems so strong and clever. True guile.

The idea that he was slow looks so bizarre in hindsight. In making the cross for Son's goal he puts it in from level with 18 yards about 4 seconds after crossing the half way line. His first touch to put himself in a position to make the cross was also an absolute joke. The kind of touch only a baller can make in backing himself to have the pace to make the final ball from it. What balance this kid has brought.

Exactly the type of player you want alongside Kane and Son. Doesn't have a bad game, gives you a 7/10 every time with the odd 8 or 9. Lovely.
