Poch has taken on Xavi's view on Dele apparently.....Incredible statements these... Music to us Spurs fans ofcourse...

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...tino-Barcelona-Xavi-Dele-Alli-Manchester-City

“Is Xavi working for Manchester City maybe? He wants to help Guardiola. He’s in a period when he loves to talk, in Doha. But he was a Barcelona player – he’s my enemy. He tries to destroy our focus to win because he hates me, because he’s Barcelona. Because we are doing things and the club has a lot of potential, the focus is on our talented players. But my relationship with my chairman Daniel Levy is so close. We have our plan to try to improve. The players that we want to keep, we will keep.“He said to me, ‘We don’t need money’. If we sell players it is because we want to sell players. We will sign players we want to sign. All the decisions we take are to improve the team.”

“We remembered the game where Xavi cheated the referee. He fell, it wasn’t a penalty, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored for Barcelona and they won. The defender was Raul Baena. Xavi fell down and said ‘penalty’, and they gave a penalty. It was very funny because the video showed no one touched him. Everyone in the media was saying it was a penalty. It goes from lie to lie to lie."

Much more reassuring comments. I love the bit about Poch and Levy being close and having a plan to take down the rest of the PL.

That relationship between the two is the most important at any club. And I think they may be a match made in heaven.

This....Dele earns more from Nike than from Spurs at the moment. This is one of the reasons, Levy will try to keep him inspite of mouth watering world record bids. With a stadium naming rights discussions going on, he needs star players at the club.
Sorry to be pedantic, but he's Adidas, not Nike. But yeah, probably still makes more from them than he does Spurs.

That's surely the same for most big players who are massively marketable assets. I read somewhere that last year more than 60 percent of Neymars earnings came from sponsorship

Well thanks...someone already corrected me. I guess you didn't see it ;)

It was quoted at the time Dele would earn 8m a year which is surely more than what he earns at Spurs

You're right, all the top players do...dunno why it was even brought up tbh.

Everyone needs to read this.
This is what Fergie brought to utd. Off the field mentoring which was translated and repaid on the pitch with a team full of battling characters.

Poch seems equally concerned with the attitude of the pitch which will hopefully instill in the team the family unity that the class of 92 had

Liverpool supporter sitting behind me is adamant we will sell Alli this summer, and that £60 million will be enough for Levy to sell him... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Everton fan I work with said £40m tops.

The general consensus, though, was that he's worth between £50m-£60m.

Idiots.

Everton fan suggesting that he's worth the same as rumoured Barkley fee then, despite one having just over a year left on contract and the other having 5, not to mention one being 2 time Young Player of the Year, scoring a bucket load and playing for England regularly...

fucking love the bad blood. Fuck you xavi
I think those comments put a final nail in the coffin for any Poch Barca talk. To quote the Sean Bean meme - one simply does not badmouth Xavi and ever expect to work at the Nou Camp...
