It's quite funny... apparently Hazard is one of the world's best players, but Alli who has assisted the same and scored more, is just a player with potential....

Everton fan suggesting that he's worth the same as rumoured Barkley fee then, despite one having just over a year left on contract and the other having 5, not to mention one being 2 time Young Player of the Year, scoring a bucket load and playing for England regularly...

I know.

He said tops as well so basically he's saying Alli is in the same league (fee wise) as Bolasie or Sissoko. Crazy really and that's before you even start going into the fact Pogba was sold for £90m

I think those comments put a final nail in the coffin for any Poch Barca talk. To quote the Sean Bean meme - one simply does not badmouth Xavi and ever expect to work at the Nou Camp...

Yes - I genuinely think he is a sincere guy too.

And without doubt very intelligent - He's answers in press conferences are brilliant.

Yep, the only problem is that genuine enmity with Barca makes him more attractive at the Bernabeu. Although until he cracks winning semis and finals - that probably won't matter too much.

Great idea guys. Let's give out bumper new contracts every time one of our players is linked to another club
we have a player that im guessing is on 50k per week, he is one of the best players in the world and his value has increased massively even since his last contract
to me its fair enough

Well I know a couple of agents personally, and my mate deals with quite a few of them day in day out. Agents are there to look after the best interest of there clients NOT to get them moves to make more money for themselves, and believe it or not that is what the majority do. I don't know which ones you have had "business dealings" with in the past but they are far from representative with any that I have met or heard about. I'm sure there are a few out there as you describe but believe me fucking up a players career by telling them to move for the money might make them a few quid but it won't keep them in work for long.

P.S Levy tends to avoid the shit agents like the plague. Something worth remembering when next a player "slips through the net".

I can think of quite a few players who have moved to Man City / Chelsea in last 5 years that fit that criteria

Jack Rodwell, Scott Sinclair, Loic Remy, Wilfred Bony

Saying that I am glad Levy doesn't deal with agents like these

You can't always blame the agents though. Most players have huge ego's and belief in their own ability. They won't for one second be thinking anything other than they will be playing every week, and be starring for them sooner rather than later.

Fair enough, I guess whoever said most footballers are thick was spot on

To be honest, I don' t think any of this is worth our worry, enjoy our football. Appreciate our players, trust Poch and Levy to do what is best for the club.

It really isn't being thick though, as Trix says, even to make it to the Premier League you've got to have cast iron self-belief. So if a big club comes in for you, you've got to believe you are good enough to make it there.
