FBref has him in the 96th percentile for dribbles completed last season in the championship vs full backs and wing backs so I'm less than convinced by whatever stats you're looking at. Naturally a wingback who dribbles more than 98% of other players in his position is going to be dispossessed more, that's only concerning if you don't understand the stat. 77th percentile for passes completed. Chance creation - he was 78th percentile for actions leading to shots and 72nd for actions leading to goals. I don't think the stats show what you think they do.

Sancho has struggled because United have been a graveyard for promising talents for years prior to this season. If he'd gone to City or Liverpool he'd have been great.

Forest replaced him with Aurier, a player I've seen people wish we had as an option over Emerson constantly on this site and others.
Yes but thats in the championship, playing for a stand out team. Its hardly a hub for great dribbling fullbacks is it. But that's the point, he dribbles too much and he dribbles in bad areas... like in the Liverpool game where he kept trying to beat jota near his own box and kept getting dispossed.

I ask again... outside of the arsenal game, how many times have you watched him play? Hes not the messiah you think he is.

I didn’t say it was a hub for great talent, I asked what stats concerned you and you cited a load where Spence is a standout performer.

Funny how you’ll make allowances for the league to diminish Spence but not consider the fact that maybe he‘s dribbling more because he was one of the best players on that team and was told to.

Between the Championship play offs, cup games and the odd match I’d watch when there was nothing better on I’d seen him about 8-9 times before we signed him.

Did I say he was the messiah? No. I said he was a Premier League standard player. He was one of the best players in the Championship and the stats clearly show that. Doesn’t mean he’s perfect.

Yup, Viera seems like he's becoming a really good coach these days. Happy he'll get a chance to play in a team that actually tries to play football too.

He reminds me of Wan Bissaka in many respects, though he's more attack minded, and he developed pretty well at Palace. Think it would be pretty much the perfect place for him to play. I just hope we don't sell him outright or include a buy option on any loan.

All the news has been him going out on loan with no option to sell him. And that we have turned down loans because of this

I'm sure WLB was just saying palace would take him on loan.

Palace would be a good loan for him. Him and Olise would be a pretty cool combo in attack, would be fun to watch. Don’t think it’s inconceivable they play a back 3 either with Richards impressing since he’s come into their side, could easily be looking at a Richards, Andersen, Guehi back 3 with Spence and Mitchell on the flanks

We should also consider a sale, but with a decent buy back.

Levy needs to generate incoming does he not, according to those who still support him

I think Djed to Palace could be a really good move for him, not too much pressure. Also, think Sarr would work well there on loan under Viera but I'm more than happy to hold on to him here if he keeps getting game time.

Conte has totally fucked this up. I support him but this has been absolutely stupid.
Pardon?! Conte never wanted him, so why the hell should he play him?! I'm sorry, but I would love to know your reasoning behind why Conte has "totally fucked this up". Get him out on loan or permanent, I'm easy, but he's currently nowhere near good enough to be a RWB for us. And it should speak volumes that Emerson and Doherty have started ahead of him when they're both very limited players.
