Meh. We signed a young player, it didn’t work out, but at least he didn’t sit on our bench for three years before we figured that out. Sell him on and go buy another young player.
Isn't this basically what Warnock said as wellif theres another thread for djed i couldnt find it
BEN:
I have heard from a few different people he don’t have a good attitude I know steve cooper got a good 5 months from him but I don’t see him being in ange plans at all.
You’d also think that the whole Dele thing was recent enough to give people pause before piling in.Remember lads, it's ITK, not gospel.
He's a young lad who may not fit in. Let's not demonise him, even if he does have to go.
If you're calling someone a **** on the back of gossip, it's you that's the ****.
Didn't we pay close to 20 million? That's not exactly taking a punt. That is buying a player you anticipate to be at or around your first-team. To me, taking a punt on a young player is what we would be doing with the kid from Blackburn, who is costing us in the 5 million range. With how tight Levy is and the difficulty we have in moving players, we really can't afford to miss on these type of transfers.
Thing is I don't think Ange gives individual players special treatment. If you aren't willing to put in the work then I don't think he's the type to put an arm around the shoulder and ask what's wrong. You're either in or you're out based on your commitment to the cause and your workrate.Maybe the kid needs a straight-talking manager, with seemingly very high levels of emotional intelligence who enjoys developing/promoting youth?
Taking a punt on talented youngsters is generally a good thing but some won’t work out.
I know everyone gets a little moist at the chance to put the boot into our glorious leader but taking a gamble on a young player, hoping he matures and his attitude improves in a different environment seems a reasonable risk to me.
Mountain of salt with ITK also.
Baldist..power to the slap heads (me included)another joke purchase by baldy
Yeah, not talking about either coddling or riding DS - more like making it clear to him that it’s up to him to make the most of his abilities and that the opportunities are there if he wants to seize them. That’s where the ‘straight talking’ but sits.Thing is I don't think Ange gives individual players special treatment. He's clearly got emotional intelligence but he's said in interviews that he rarely has conversations for longer than a minute with individual players - it's all about building a strong culture and having players commit to the collective idea.
Djed strikes me as someone who needs to feel special and loved as he was by Cooper at Forest. Maybe given preferential treatment due to his talent. He won't get that from Ange.

Hmm yea my mate at Fulham said the same thing when he was playing in their youth team.if theres another thread for djed i couldnt find it
