Leeds would be a fantastic move for him. Similar to Skipp when he went to Norwich, a full season of regular game time in a team that would be expected to push for automatic promotion would suit both parties.

I’d be reluctant to sell as he’s still young and could turn this spell around.
Loan is only way we aren’t going to have to write off a big loss right away. I’d think that’s more the reason why loan vs a sale now vs really hoping he comes good.

Are we allowed to loan 2 players to the same club? Rodon and Spence. I don't think this is allowed in the Premier League, but maybe is ok in the Championship?

Yup, that is allowed. Brentford loaned two of their players (Crama & Cox) to Bristol Rovers and Wolves did they same by sending 2 of their own ( Hoever &. Chiquino) on loan to Stoke during this transfer window.

Oddly - I would be impressed with Spence if he takes this opportunity

I thought he took the easy way out in January - but this could give him a chance to prove he is willing to work for a spot, even dropping back to the Championship.

He never had a chance here. Pretty disgraceful to send him back to the Championship after he already won promotion with Forest / was in the championship TOTS. Would’ve expected him to get a bottom-half Premier League loan based on those merits alone. Not to mention he’s England U21.

Potential rumored attitude issues aside, we need to do a better job of managing young talent.

I don't think that it's the end of the world for him. It's not the first time that it's happened with a young player) and it won't be the last. Hopefully it'll be just the move that he needs to get his career going (assuming that he gives it the ok).

Agree. I think it’s better for him to go to a top end Championship side and play regularly than a PL side as a rotational player.

Just a bit disappointing he needs to take a step backwards when he was on an upward trajectory prior to his move here.

I’m happy it’s a straight loan. I’ll be watching Leeds for him and Rodon - hopefully they kill it this season and the club will have a decision to make next summer.

I agree with your sentiments - he was a victim of a situation that was outside his control to an extent with Conte making it clear that he wasn't a player for him. Hard to comment on the 'attitude' situation as I've no idea as to the truth of it. It's a rumour as you suggested but who knows.

I also question the attitude rumors.

Sure he had a pop at Warnock summer 2022 but he’s never done anything at all publicly while here to suggest he has attitude problems. Feels a bit like a lazy speculation to explain why he’s not been playing.

If anything, accepting a loan move back to the Championship after a high profile PL switch shows maturity, humility and a desire to prove himself.

Thing is its rumours that stretch back across 3-4 managers, not just Conte and Warnock. He'll find his place somewhere, championship side I should think.

Yeah, I think the only person to blame for this is the player himself.
If even Ange isn't willing to give him a chance, after all the other managers in his short career so far, it can only really point to him just not working hard enough.
I think people trying to pin his failure on the club are wide of the mark and probably didn't watch any of his time in France, only judging him off a couple of FA cup performances.

The only fault to lay at the clubs feet is the fact we bought him in the first place.

he likely had loads of chances every day in training and didn't take them

Well hopefully he can make a big impression and we either get a fee for him next summer or something goes extraordinarily well and we re-integrate him.

The only reservation I have with the club choice is that they have a pretty reliable player already at RB in Luke Ayling. He's been ever present in the Leeds side for 7 years, he's a vice captain and has already scored and assisted in the Championship this season.
