Leeds Twitter think he was their best full back option, but on the other hand looked disinterested in being there and coasted through.

His attitude is his downfall.
He’s looked disinterested in being anywhere tbh. Have to sell somehow. Levy thought he knew more than Warnock & well, he doesn’t.

Didn't know he featured as a LB while on loan at Leeds. Maybe a chance for him to offer cover for Destiny.
I just can't see him in a Ange team, he's far too lazy in getting back to defend.
And if the attitude rumours have any substance, which it's beginning to look like they may, I don't think Ange would want him around.

This should've been a good chance for the lad to play and prove himself but it's another failed loan.
I understand that loans fail quite often, like Scarlett as an example but Scarlett always gets praised for his attitude and work rate. I've not heard anything like that about Spence.

Interesting.

Porro could really do with a rest, more so than anyone else bar Son

Emerson plays in that case, should Spence feature, he would have to stay for whole spring as he would be ineligible for 3rd team in same season

Yeh, while I'm of the opinion to keep Reguilon as a back-up LB until the summer Spence has got to go back out on loan. We have Emerson as RB no 2 and Spence's attitude just doesn't seem to fit with what we're building at all.

He did start 2 game ago at right back where Leeds were soundly beaten. Dropped at the weekend and then back from loan on Leeds request this week.

I understand why there are rules of only two clubs per season, but it sure is frustrating not to be able to give him cameo appearances if we want to loan him out again.

I'd still give Ange the full month to see him in training, await any potential FB injuries and then loan him out at the end of the month if needed.

Signing the right kind of character is more important than ever hey?! Maybe this is why Ange is so hell bent on making sure he puts together a squad with only the right kind of characters in it.

Always frustrates me that we didn't hang on/buy-back KWP. Was through the club, good attitude, and versatile. He was no worse than most of who we've bought at outside back since. Obviously, very fortunate now to see Porro/Udogie but still. This was a buy that had a few flags written all over it at the time!

Hopefully Cooper decides to take the Birmingham job. Only one who’s ever got a consistent tune out of him

Ange had pre season with Spence and decided to get rid, doubt much has changed.

I thought he had got back in the team and playing well.

Unless we are shifting royal and he is the RB back up now? Or going to a lower PL club on loan, I can't work out why we bring him back.
Leeds lost 3 out of the 5 games he started in. For context, they lost 3 in the 21 he didn't start.

Wtf

I swear he was a regular in their team?

Either someone must be buying him or Ange wants to give him a chance in the first team.
He had been dropped back to bench a few times. Mostly started at LB when he did come back from injuries.

When he was on it like the Ipswich game, Leeds fans loved him. Fast, skillful, always a threat.

However, he also came in for fair share of criticism due to lack of tracking back, looking disinterested. The Leeds fan in my team at work, much prefers Rodon who he said is consistently solid. I will be intrigued for his opinion tomorrow.

I predict Leeds fans will not be happy at reducing the depth given their squad is paper thin in defence, but this does really worry me that it is an attitude problem. Otherwise why would they terminate.

From an ability level he seemingly does but certainly not from a mental point of view unfortunately.
That's what's so frustrating because he's a talented lad. Big, strong, quick and skillful.
It's like a lesser Ndombele situation and I hope we never make these sorts of mistakes again, we had to look into personality and attitude in more details in future (which I believe Ange will do).

Didn’t Warnock say Spence could end up anywhere from Premier League to non-league and it would be his attitude and application which would determine that. Looks like he’s well on his way to squandering his talent.

Hard to get away from the fact that he doesn't appear to be progressing very much.

I remember when Rose went on loan to Sunderland. Reading their forum and he was a huge success and they loved him.

At the moment he doesn't appear to have much of a future at us and hasn't done much to entice clubs to buy him.

Do we have anyone coming in to organise our loans, because with this, Reguilon, Doherty and Scarlett it's becoming quite clear we're wasting the time of many of our players.
