Weird reason to keep a £25 million player. Plus we have Lucas, assuming all Brazilians like each other. If not I'm sure we can just pay some fun Brazilian guy 20 grand a year to be nice to Richarlison

Well no it’s obviously not the only reason is it but it can only help keeping him around.

It’s not an assumption, he’s interacted with richarlison multiple times on social media and in the videos spurs have put up recently so it looks as though they’ve hit it off.

I would sell Lucas out of the two if an offer came in. We have more support and options going forwards, especially if we sign another attacker as is rumoured, and as others have said Royal is still young and has been improving. Also the injury records and settling in time

If I wear a Brazilian shirt and dance a lot would I qualify?

I would like to address peoples vitriol at Emersons Final 1/3 production.

Walker's final 1/3 production wasn't great either.

The thing that these 2 have in common is their energy and quantity of times they arrive in the final 1/3, this alone effects the game state greatly and shouldn't be underestimated.

But one thing you haven't mentioned is his ability to take on and beat his man. Something I don't see Emerson even attempting!

But with contes system the wingbacks are highly important in regards to our attacking play, and as per ally golds article which I agree with is that when Royal gets into the final 3rd the best you hope from him is a corner and that Is a big problem.

Don’t disagree, but I find him a very frustrating player and wish he’d just have a go sometimes. He’ll get in a great position for a cross or a shot, and 9/10 times he freezes and then cuts it back to Deki. It’s so predictable, and as a result is ineffective. He’s not a poor player, but he needs to get out of his own way.

With all due respect there really is no comparison between Walker and Emerson other than the position they play on the pitch.

Walker is way superior in every department.

Is Sess more productive?

I think it's important to note that Walker played in a back four where his job was to get up and down the flank to create an extra option, with Eriksen tucking in.

Conte's wingbacks are closer to old fashioned wingers in the attacking phase. Sessegnon, Doherty, Spence, Perisic and Emerson will all be judged on what they do in the final third as that is a major part of their role. Emerson is finding those spots at the back post and joining in the attacks as the third attacker when one of the front three drops deep. The issue is that he looks like a fish out of water once there.

It's crazy to see how much our fans are gushing over Perisic taking on his man and whipping in a great cross, but that is something we have wanted to see for the last 8 months. Sessegnon does seem to get a lot more slack compared to Emerson, probably due to him being English. I don't think he's any more productive than Emerson, however his previous form for Fulham suggests that when put in goalscoring positions he will at least go for goal and can finish.

Forgotten his great run and cross to Doherty and great calm pass to Son away at Anfield? Emerson is nowhere near as good going forward as Sess.

Walker has always been lucky he has pace. Defending wise there is no way he is far better than royal. So many times Walker gets caught out of position

Walker doesn’t just have pace though, he’s the most athletically gifted defender in top level football and has been for nearly a decade. He is a unique, one of a kind physical specimen. A freak.
