I don't know much about the lad, but Doc isn't the answer, Aurier isn't the answer, and Tanganga is great, but has some limitations offensively, or might be a CB long-term. It's a great signing taking just right back into consideration.

I personally think that another midfielder, winger, or striker should have been a lot more prioritized than spending 30m on a RB, but hopefully he'll be good for us so we at least can cross off this issue from the list.

No point in passing on the opportunity to spend 30m on Emerson. Sooner or later (we all know - sooner) we have to replace both Aurier and Doherty, which leaves us only with Tanganga.
