I just remembered about those 2 or 3 tackles he put in right at the end of the game yesterday. This guy is 100% committed.
That sort of hard work and commitment should never be underrated in a football player.

I've noticed Paratici tends to sign players with this attribute, we actually have quite a few players in the squad now who do this.

Hoijberg is number one for this, he generally is always busting a gut around the 90 minute mark.

For me, Emerson, Romero, Hoijberg, Kulusevski and Skipp all have this attribute.

You can add Sarr to the list, he literally never stops moving. I swear he keeps going after the final whistle too.

Hope this tells people to stop abusing our players. He has been consistently one of better players the past few weeks. Delighted to see him score, and for Davies to get the assist.
Orrrrr do we just abuse the shit out of all of our players in the hope they turn in to worldies :cautious:

I was at the home against Leeds back in November. The guy next to me was one of those booing Emerson Royal and cheering when he was hooked. If that person reads this, I hope that he, and anybody else who boos one of our own players is heartily ashamed of themselves

I agree with your points but could this not have just gone in the Emerson Royal thread?

I realise this is a strange idea but perhaps we as supporters should just give our wholehearted support ? What we see however on too many occasions in places like SC is certain players being picked on and then continually denigrated. Usually it is one or two players that get this treatment but when they are gone the attention quickly turns to other players. Perhaps it is just the modern age and the need for immediate gratification but it is still very sad.

You've misinterpreted the word supporter. It doesn't mean to support, it means: it ain't working out for me so I need my football team to win, I need this, oh god I need this, why do they not realise how much I need this, why are they doing this to me, it's not fair, I needed this and instead I'm about to get bantered on whatsapp because of those useless ****s.

Mentioned earlier in the year in the Skipp thread that it's what I admire about Liverpool's fans. They will absolutely back any player that pulls on their shirt whether they're performing or not.

Unfortunately they're ridiculed for "delusion" but I'm adamant that delusion (up to a limit) is a resource you need to do great things.

Valid. Now I’m guessing next on the booboo train is Sess, but is fortunate to be out for the next 6 weeks. Though I am very guilty of what you described above when it comes to Sess. I do want him to succeed just like Emerson. But it’s just so hard to watch and not get agitated. I’ve never quite felt that way about Emerson. Yes, had fits of frustration but haven’t questioned his attitude. And it is the latter that has helped him realize his full potential.

They won't be ashamed. It's one of the trademarks of being an arsehole.

If we are chasing a game Id shift both Emerson and Romero back one position and put Porro RWB and keep him high.

But that would have to be against weaker opposition

You want to play Romero in goal? ?

Fuck it. Why not? Sounds fun.

So three players (Hojbjerg, Davies and Emerson) the experts on SC told us were hopeless and we must replace combined to create an excellent goal. Who would have thought such a thing was possible ?
Yes one goal changes everything.

Emerson is playing very well at present and the above isn't a dig at him

Do we have to talk about the morons again? Can we enjoy his performances instead. Least footy related thread on the whole site probably*

* This is almost certainly not accurate but you get the point

He's definitely benefitting from the tactical tweak to the system which is bringing out the best in him. Something tells me Conte might be evolving his system to make it a bit more unpredictable. Having underlapping wingbacks who are essentially extra midfielders with the 2 wide men staying wider.

Emerson and Davies did a great job of the underlap yesterday. There can be games where we have Porro and Perisic making overlaps instead to keep it different. Currently I wouldn't be taking Emerson out at all tbh and yesterdays team may be the best we currently have moving forward.
