Why are people who are criticizing Royal overlooking the fact that Ange is literally asking him to play as a CM and RB?

Because everyone forgets players are following managers' instructions, I remember reading that when Van Gaal went to United he told all the players they weren't allowed to shoot or pass first time anymore, they had to take a touch and then pass or shoot, And a lot of the players didn't like that. We don't really know what they've been told to do on the pitch

Royal is going from strength to strength and has been for a while now, people that still give him grief are utter idiots and I have no idea what they are watching.
Not only does he play well, he's a great member of the squad, popular and willing to work his bollocks off for his team mates.
You can see why Ange will like him.

Unlucky not to be playing more tbh but Porro does suit this style a tad more but Emerson is an extremely good option especially next season when we are back in Europe etc.
