Been waiting for this news, be great to have him back. I am, however, fully preparing myself for him to be anonymous tomorrow when/if he makes it onto the pitch. Its going to take weeks before we see anything of him.

I had a feeling that the silver lining to the West Brom cloud was that Lamela would see that he is really needed in the squad - even as a spark off the bench. Hope that he is ready to make his season debut against Leicester.

I'm predicting a sub appearance for the last 5-10 mins at most. Would be good if he could get on for half an hour but just can't see it.
Whatever minutes he comes on, if, that is, I am happy to see him back. Let him get his feel that he's back in the squad. Let's stand by the guy. He needs us now more than ever. Good luck Coco.

Lamela's recovery has proven complex, with the 25-year-old even allowed to take treatment from his former club Roma in January.
There was also a traumatic period in December last year when Lamela rushed back to his native Argentina to attend to his brother, who had been unexpectedly taken into hospital.
Pochettino is likely to ease Lamela back in slowly over the Christmas period but he insists he never had any doubts that he would play again.
"No, never doubts. We trusted in our medical staff and him that he's a very competitive player, always focused on his recovery," Pochettino said.
"It's true that after a year it's difficult for a player to be fit and find the feelings in the competition when it's an injury for long term. Always it's not easy and the expectations need to be low.
"Maybe similar to Danny Rose, after 10 months or year it's similar. You need to provide them the time to be fit and feel again the competition.
"With Lamela there's no pressure on him, only to feel he's a player in the competition again."

I had been harsh on him recently. Think he has his mind casted on the delivery of his son too for the past few weeks.

It's because you don't know what you've got until it's gone.I swear he's gone from being the most polarising player in the squad to being unanimously considered the saviour. I'm glad he's back and I've always been a fan, but there's no way he can live up to this level of expectation.
It would be the same scenario if we ever lost Son for a long period of time. He can be insanely frustrating, but quite frankly offers us something no other player can. Like Lamela.
