Vital to the squad but he must be more of a goal threat
If Son had done what he should have done for our third goal and passed to Lamela instead of shooting only for the ball to end up with Dele then Erik probably would have netted one today instead of Dele getting two.

That said it's now academic as frankly I didn't care who scored our third so long as it went in. If it had not gone in because Son had not cut it back to Erik and they'd come back an equalised or even won 3-2, we'd all have been rightly hacked off, it's great news for us that it didn't come to that, and fair play to Dele because it wasn't a straightforward chance for him to score the third as he still had had bit of work to do to shrug off a Chelsea defender or two to put it in.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that was just Son wanting to play hero as he usually does or if he was actively trying to not let Lamela score for some dark motives. I remember someone pointing out in the Swansea match thread how Son looked a bit down after Erik scored, at that moment I totally dismissed that post, but now I'm not so sure...

Son can just be a bit goal hungry in those situations. He's done it to both Kane and Alli before. No conspiracy here.

I was not Lamela's biggest fan, this season, he has been sensational. The best Lamela I have seen in a spurs shirt, he seemed to have gained a level or two during his layoff from injury

Amazing work rate and he just offers more dynamic passing than most others in the squad. I love how he makes himself available between the lines and almost always plays a pass that you aren't expecting. Smashing Fabregash again was just a massive bonus. Not sure why the media weren't playing more on Fabregash lashing out at him after, clear red card offence.

The linking play when he moved in the middle was just what we needed and Son looked so much more of a threat on the wing as well.

If you play in a front three or four for w team challenging for trophies you just have to. We might be scoring loads but we are not scoring as much as liverpool and cjty
We also concede fewer than Liverpool, the reason being that their game is slightly more focused on attack than ours. They subscribe to "you score 3, we'll score 4", we're more "we'll score more goals than you because we'll only let you have 1".

He got in a lovely little drag-back with his right before finishing with his left.

love what Coco brings to our team. V influential, v underrated. Glad he’s put the last 12 months behind him (both on & off the pitch). Better than he was before the injury imo

Really hope he can stay fit in the future. He's come back even stronger since the injury, really pleased for him after a year out. Whenever he plays he gives 110%, gives his all for the club and the fans, deserves a new contract (y)

For it to be a conspiracy, Son would have to be conspiring with someone, so I don't think so. But it very well could be that Son has some beef with Lamela, or that he views him as some kind of threat and it kills him a little each time Erik does something positive.

I don't believe that to be the case, but that ever smiling face of his gives me trust issues.

I would rather keep him than sell him, than go and buy some untried potential. He has nothing to prove. Those who says he has to be more of a goal threat can go and do one
