Selling Lamela wasn't the wrong thing to do. The problem is another 10 should have followed him out the door and we should have bought better replacements.

There's a reason why a winning club like Sevilla was interested in Erik, and not in those 10 other players you mention though.

Great goal yesterday and got one player sent off.

Glad for him and will continue to monitor his post Spurs career.

Just saw this, not surprised at all. Lopetgui knows how to bring the best out of players too, just a question of him staying healthy.

Too bad we couldn't bring Lopetegui instead (while keeping Lamlea too).

Looks like Sevilla will be putting a serious challenge for the title this season, but sadly Madrid probably will be too powerful to overcome in the end, since the likes of Benzema and Vinicius are having a great season too.

Sadly players should have gone before Lamela. He still would have had bit of impact on occasion or raise a few laughs with some naughty on-field antics. Instead we had to keep sub-standard players for longer.

But this is the problem. We don't get to choose what order we sell players in.

Actually La Liga is more exciting this season, as there are several clubs fighting for the title - and Barca isn’t one of them.

I think Barcelona are like 8 points away from the top. I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to put in a late challenge for the title, since IMO last season Koeman proved that he's a good enough coach. The main problem is that they are still adapting to life without Messi, I think.

I’ve watched a few of their games this season and they’ve not been as good as in recent years. I think it would depend on who is their permanent manager but i still think it’s a bridge to far to win the title this season, as they have a few more contenders to beat, unlike other seasons when it was usually only RM and AM

If you could bottle Erik's attitude and sell it, every club would buy it for their players.
I'm sure the manager we (look like we) are getting now would love Erik still at the club.

I wonder where/if Coco would have fit in under Conte. Seems like the kind of player he would like.

Posted a picture of him in a Spurs shirt and it apparently didn't go down too well with the Sevilla fans.
