He is the one who has the ceiling to reach the levels of Bale. Willian arguably has hit his potential, quality as he is... He's a league below the top tier.

It's quality not quantity we need. Holtby I think has a future but Siggy isn't cutting it.

We need to buy top class talent - Not fill our squad with more bit-part players.

Rather spend £30 million on one class player than £15 million twice on two good players.

Willian is what? 25? So yeah, he should be in his peak years now. Hopefully he turns out to be a big flop now when he is at Chelsea but I doubt that since he looks like a quality player.

I'm quietly excited for Lamela though, the perfect replacement for Bale.

Yeah that's the problem. I mean I'm all for getting a quality player at a cheap price. It's not a case of me having to feel appeased by a marquee big money signing. I just don't think value for money exists much in the market anymore - Especially for established players.

Lamela isn't a creative midfielder.

If we signed Lamela and Willian, he wasn't going to get much of a chance this season either. AVB has seen him every day in training since last January. If we're still looking for new attacking midfielders, I doubt we'll see Holtby or Siggy starting many prem games this year.
