Will be good to see him back, the game against Sunderland and this half against Middlesbrough shows we need more creativity

minor update from espn latin America...
Lamela is in Rome recovering from injury, the issue has been physical not emotional from his brother's accident or the death of his pet Simba as some people have claimed.

interesting thing about lamela is that his mentality is "big" -- remember this:

The left-back said: "I'd like to believe we can but I don't want to think that... Before the Man City game I was having dinner with Lamela and I was still asking him if he reckoned we can finish in the top four.

"I've never seen someone look at me with such disgust. He said ‘My friend, we can win the league'.

we need that in the team --- and we are getting closer...at home to Chelscum the team looked like they believed they would win.

Whilst I don't there is any substance to these rumours, the updates provided by Poch are so vague that I don't expect to see Lamela playing anytime soon.

All we hear is what sort of mood he is in, not even a suggestion that he's even on the training ground.

Probably because he's pissed off talking about Lamela. You could tell when he talked about playing through pain that he was fed up with that situation. Also add in the contract situation which remains probably the last major unsigned one and there is something not sitting well with Poch.

Yeah, you get the feeling it will March at the earliest before we see him. Considering how long he has been out one would probably expect him to play a youth team match before he comes near a first team game.
