The number of Spurs fans that still don't rate Lamela is astounding. Thankfully they don't seem to congregate on SC, bar 1 or 2.
The only reason to still not rate him now is arrogance and confirmation bias

Certain people engaged in arguments and whatnot with their stance being that he is shit (or words to that effect) and now rather than admit they judged him too early or that he proved them wrong they'd prefer to seek confirmation for what they believed and maintain their original stance (pointing to any bad game he has or any isolated thing he does wrong to support their opinion and ignoring any time he plays well or does something well.....or at least making excuses to avoid acknowledging the times he does well)

It seems so counter-intuitive to me - as a Spurs fan surely you should be happy to be proven wrong when writing a player off as it is for the best of the team you support. Unfortunately some people are so arrogant that they'd rather be right in a pointless argument at the detriment of their team than to "lose" the argument or proved wrong

My West Ham supporting mates (enough said) will only rate the Spurs players highlighted on Match of the Day. Having their own opinion based on using their own eyes and minds is too difficult.
To be fair, now days it is so easy to access your own teams matches that less and less you find yourself watching rival teams and really having a good understanding of players away from your own club

So you do generally only see highlights on match of the day and SSN - it can easily lead to a misguided opinion of a player (especially if as a rival you have an agenda to want them to be shit or flop)

Really hope he gets a new contract upon his return from the CA. Hate constantly reading about Inters supposed interest. With only two years left we need to get him signed up ASAP. He also deserves a new deal.

Couldn't agree more! The sad thing is, if he was to be offered, then accepted a new contract, some wouldn't see it as anything other than an extra few years to slag the lad off.

Lamela is an important player within our starting 11. He's also one of the players that leads the pressing game we like to play.

Bobby:cry:

Love Bobby. Absolutely love him. Shame he didnt work out here. He did everything right but couldnt score. Seems like a great guy and he still loves us. He is Spurs even though he wears a different shirt. Love that man.

He had so much support from the fans. Thank the lord for Harry Kane as it took the edge of the fact that Bobby was a flop.

What I liked him most was he genuinely felt he let down the fans and apologised for not being a success with us.
