I see the Daily Mail are reporting that Madrid are hoping his good form helps them sell him for good money in the summer. Let's hope that Levy has secured the year 2 option like we all expect, I'd be surprised if he didn't tbf.

It doesn't matter how good his form is, no-one is gonna pay him the £600k a week that he's getting in that last year of the contract and he's not gonna let Madrid off the hook. If he wants to stay here they've got little choice.I see the Daily Mail are reporting that Madrid are hoping his good form helps them sell him for good money in the summer. Don't know how trustworthy this is, but.....
According to AS, the year-long deal will include no automatic option for a further extension, and so therefore he will return to the Bernabeu once his loan spell in north London ends.
Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett, though, has said that there is a possibiilty that Bale will extend his stay in north London beyond the 2020-21 season if things go well.

LolTottenham wait to open Bale talks despite no second-season loan clause
Tottenham are yet to discuss Gareth Bale's future with Real Madrid or his representatives, despite the Spanish club being desperate to offload the forward this summer.www.standard.co.uk
Media seem to think there is no option to extend the loan
I know @Trix is well placed on this so I'm hoping they've been misinformed.
Just clever wording, there is no automatic clause that triggers due to games played etc. We were told at the time I believe by both Ali Gold and ITK that everything had been agreed for both years. Wouldn't have made sense for us to agree a two year loan off the bat, incase his injuries were worse than imagined.
If we want it to continue we will just renew it as terms are already agreed. Cannot see any reason we wouldn't, his form has been sensational and we have invested a lot of time and money to get here.
Makes sense for all parties.
Depends how water-tight the option is. Madrid probably didn't forsee him looking this good again. He starts bagging a few goals and now they've got Euro-signs in their eyes. They just wanted to get rid before but now he's starting to show value again.
Hopefully his high wages would put anyone off putting money on the table for him in the current climate.
As much as us fans miss going to watch our team play, I believe Gareth Bale is the one of those players that would love to have the fans around while he is on the pitch. To a certain extent he's a crowd pleaser which a lot of top players are.
what a day that was!

Anyone remember this sick rap from when Gareth was last with the club? I'm pretty sure this is what slowthai aspires to
The plane watching that day was so much fun.
