Thats....just not true. There are certain names that people recognize despite not following the sport in question. Even people who consider themselves "above sports" and act like anyone who watches is intellectually and emotionally inferior still know these names.

Kobe.
Tiger.
Brady.
LeBron
Serena
etc

Alex Morgan is one of those people, at least in my experience.
Maybe in the states but not outside of the states beyond football fans (and even then, probably not a huge fraction of football fans either).

Maybe Reguilon was scared to travel alone and Bale said “I’m familiar with the area mate. Besides I have nothing better to do in Madrid. I’ll drop you off!”

I applied for an apprenticeship at a financial marketing company which covered the US market. They wanted us from 6pm til overnight. Trust me. The timing absolutely matters.
Isn't financial marketing a little different? I've no expertise in this area, sure.. just thinking about how sports fans consume news..

More care now than in the past, but for the most part, yeah. I have a small circle of friends who are rabid, but beyond that, any footy related posts i do on social media are met with "who's that you're talking about?" or some such.

The number of parents with kids playing soccer is huge. The number of kids trying out for local clubs is mind blowing. Everyone may not have a club, but it is more on everyone's radar than ever before.

I know they’re done and signed but I really dunno why they drag it out so much, really annoys me, no sleep tonight again?

Well considering the original question was talking about Americans, yeah, I guess you have a point. :cautious:

To be honest, I’ve only heard about Tiger. Myself. Is that weird? But, I’m not American, and generally not interested in sports, with football as the huge exception.
