Yet Bergwijn still starts over him...
And whilst he's amazing at right back and runs about a lot, he doesn't score or create enough in all these starts

Edit: he needs to score or create or add something to the attack to warrant a start as an attacker..... But then Jose picked Sissoko to start last game. Shows where his head is when picking a 3rd attacker. Their most important attribute is how well they can cover for our shit right backs.

Yet still providing the best balance for our team and Kane/Son, he's doing far more than Bale who's only meaningful contribution on the pitch is goals against Lask, Brighton and Stoke, if he's not scoring goals he's not providing anything else.

This is the most ridiculous dick waving contest in a while.

Bergwijn has done reasonably well within the remit he’s been asked to play by Jose. It’s ok to both recognise this and feel that we could be better served sacrificing some of what he bring to see if Bale can play his way into form, especially off the back of a poor run off form that we’ve gone through.

Either way, manager seems to disagree.

Question is, would people accept a few consecutive 3-4/10 matches from Bale if it meant he clicked and started giving us some to class output at the expense of Bergwijn‘a 6-7/10s?

Personally, I would. I get why many wouldn’t but I just feel that expecting him to do it with such sporadic opportunity is giving him an impossible task and it’s worth the gamble.

He must be very bad in training since Jose keeps picking mediocre Bergwijm and Moura over him.
What a joke. if he is that bad than send him back then.

Jose being clever. He just keep Bale back enough and will let him loose coming into the critical part of the season. COYS

I’m happy to see him play but I think we’ll get the most out of him if he can get a run of games with the first stringers.

True, but we have 3 games in 6 days starting tonight. If he can help us win tonight without us having to play the first teamers then he has helped us out.

He's putting in a performance right now that makes Mourinho look like a total prick for the lack of game time he's been given.
If he had been playing him consistently in the PL we would have seen this ages ago and been things would only have progressed further by now.
If Bale doesn't get the full 90 from here Mourinho can eat shit.

Such good movement for the goal. Looks more effective in the box than out wide these days. Shame he was wasteful because otherwise he has been very involved. Could have had a hat trick easily.

I think that if Mourinho reverts to a back 4 but keeps Ndombele next to Højbjerg then Bale should have first dibs on that 2nd striker role off Kane.

Is it just me or does he look a lot quicker with his initial acceleration today? Was able to beat his man pretty regularly and get a shot/cross off.
