How does this work really? Is this something the players also want as well, waiting for their transfer? If not, i do not see a different in players that wants to go away refusing to train, and having the Manager banishing them away to train alone, equally bad taste when it is professional players and contracts involved? it is not like they are that crap that the level on training will go down? think and hope it is because they want to reduce chance of injury and just a precaution for imminent transfers
I'm with you in this. Imagine a close mate of yours (I imagine Winks is and the Spanish speakers seem popular) basically on a separate pitch, being told they're not welcome.

Feels strange to me, but then I don't have any direct experience so can't really comment

It probably is strange to some of the remaining players - particularly those who are good friends like you say. But it's not the job of the club to make sure everybody is happy and having a lovely time. It would be great if that were the case, but there needs to be a line drawn I think.

Like Conte recently said, it's not up to him to make the players happy... it's up to the players to make him happy. By making the four train alone it should reduce distractions for the players in the core squad. It must be weird if they are still eating together and sharing the changing rooms but I think that's something that players just have to deal with.

I think if you flip the situation and have those four taking part in the regular training exercises it could have a detrimental affect on how we play. I don't think any of us would want to risk the performance level on a Saturday just to keep Winks et al. happy. I guess the good thing is that any weirdness will only last for another three weeks.

We all know Conte is ruthless and he will not want to waste time on players he doesn't want in his squad, what's the point?
It may appear harsh but it's totally understandable.

Plus, it may give them the kick up the arse they need to pressure their agents into getting a move on.
We want and need them gone but I have a feeling that the likes of Winks and Tanguy may be quite happy to pick up their wages, while having training sessions with their mates and weekends off.

This takes that option away.

Maybe by letting him go on loan and no obligation we are hoping he has a great world cup with Argentina and puts himself in the shop window. When is with the national team he does seem very good and always starts.

Could it be that the 4 players in question have been turning down certain moves away and conte has put his foot down and made it clear they have no place in his plans.

ok, turn it around. Kane want to go to City, why should he train with Spurs. He feel that he is better than the team and do not want to waste his time? Contracts work both ways right?

i imagine and hope there are more details to this tho and not like Conte saying f off to players? Like Winks when he said 5 months ago was a player he could trust. As said, hope it to related to ongoing transfer and discussions of payment structure and not wanting players to suddenly do an ACL rupture or something

Im sure it has been discussed with them that they are not part of the first team plans and therefore it would be better they continue trainning alone.
I guess it makes sense in terms of tactics as potentially they could end up at a team we have to play against, so it would be better they don't know all the set piece routines. If they aren't sold/loaned i assume they may be incorporated back into the first team training.

Eh?
Your Kane example doesn't work because we wanted to keep him as an important player. Just because he may have wanted to go, making him train alone would have been a stupid, counter-productive thing to do.

Conte has made it clear that he doesn't want these 4 in his squad, so what's the point in them training with it?
It got nothing to do with contracts, they're still being paid and we're under no obligation to let them train with the first team.

I don't think it's anything more than letting them know that they need to leave.

We don't know why they're training alone though. For all we know they might be disruptive. They might not be putting the effort in, especially as they know they're surplus to requirements. On the flipside, they might be still busting a gut in training but Conte only wants to work with those who he will pick for games.

I'm sure once they've finished training alone in one of the best training centres in the world, then driving home in a car that's probably worth what my house is, before relaxing in their huge mansions, may just sweeten it a bit.

Think you are misunderstanding my point. They have contracts. And it is no difference when a player refuse to train or when a club just banishes them. Both is not a good thing, but fans only react when players go against the club and not the other way around.

But when a player refuses to train, they are breaking their contract, which is why they are usually fined by the club.

We're not breaking these players contracts, we just don't need them anymore.
It's not like we've stopped paying them, or refused them access to the training ground.

It’s a moist loan. Please use the correct vocabulary, folks. Dry, moist, wet. That’s all there is in the loan game.
