I think Gazza may have saved two of them but thats just ifs buts and maybes. I love Lloris but nowhere near as good as he was a few seasons ago

I think he was 2-3 years ago. A definite top 5 goalie. Now, not sure he makes the top 10 but I’m no GK expert.

If you look at the Ballon d'Or rankings for this year he's the 3rd best keeper in Europe. Obviously these awards aren't perfect indicators of talent, but it shows that he's still highly thought of.

I'm not sure who we could get who would be better?

What's a clutch safe? Seriously I've never heard of it used in goalkeeping terms.
Maybe I'm just an old Anglophile.

It shows we’d still get a good fee for him!

he's our captain, FFS. he's been maybe a bit shaky lately, maybe, but give him a break. its not like he's gone all Heurelho Gomes on us.

I've always loved Lloris and supported him relentlessly and he still does how that support. However, objectively speaking I do think that Gazzaniga has proved himself this season and now has become the better player. That's not based on one crappy match and subsequent guesswork though, and the last match should not be grounds for judging Lloris, who has been and is eminent for the club.

We have a fair few problems in the squad make up and how we play - Lloris is not on that 'list' and is the least of our worries or priorities

Reading this thread you would think he was Karius mk2 - could he have done better with the goals? possibly but that doesnt make him a calamity.

The real issue is the entire team played like shit in the second half, not just as some may perceive Lloris

I do think goalkeeper is a position you have to be ruthless when calling time on someone. You almost have to preempt it. You can carry an outfield player or two but with a keeper it will cost points. Happened here with Robinson, happened at Arsenal with Cech. Not saying it’s at that point with Hugo but it might be coming soon.

Chelsea got rid of cech at the right time and Man City the same with Hart. majority of people thought they were wrong calls then.

you honestly feel you can judge Gazza the better player based on 7 career starts? Im not having a go at you, I just dont agree its possible to make that assessment.

The same people wanting Gazza to play instead of Lloris will be the same people crying for a new GK the minute we lose a match and he fails to deliver an 'out of this world' kind of performance.

You people have ridiculously high expectations for our GK, and it will only come to bite us all in the ass. We're lucky to have Hugo as our GK, he's really one of the main reasons of our good results under poch, so of course it will be one of the most spursy things ever when our fans end up driving him away (probably within a season or two I'm predicting). I've seen this type of story quite a few times already, and it always plays the same.

Anyone know what kind of vehicle Lloris drives?

Mystery Premier League footballer is 'caught on camera undertaking police car at 125MPH in his £150k Mercedes on the M25' - but police REFUSE to name him despite tweeting the footage

A mystery footballer faces court and a lengthy driving ban after his £150,000 Mercedes G Wagon was clocked at 125mph while undertaking a marked police car.

Officers pulled over the star, who is believed to play for a Premier League club, between junction 22 and 20 of the westbound carriageway of the M25 at 9.20am on Sunday morning.

***

In a follow up tweet, the unit said: 'This one has garnered some interest! They have been reported for the speeding offence and will have to explain their actions to a magistrate.'

Hertfordshire Police confirmed the suspect is in his thirties from London, but say he will not be named until he appears in court and is charged with speeding.

He was reported for summons for excessive speed following the incident on Sunday morning and will appear at magistrates' court at a later date next year.

I am joking - but the general consensus is the player plays for Spurs, Arsenal or Watford. Given the age of "in his 30s", its not going to be any key Spurs player when it does come out - but Lloris is the only one who really fits the description.

And, if it had been Lloris - he would have been cited for more than just speeding...
