Absolutely disgraceful. Assuming it's true he needs to be stripped of the captaincy at a minimum. Someone setting such a bad example and attracting such bad publicity cannot continue to be one of our primary representatives.
That would be a ridicoulously over the top reaction IMO.

Yes, it's stupid on Hugos part, but it doesn't change his footballing qualities, and his apparent role as a leader in the squad. Everyone commits mistakes, and I'm sure he'll be one of the first to admit how stupid he has been.

Big shock. Saw Hugo as an intelligent and sensible person - what a way to ruin that image.

Obviously he’s been a complete prat but I won’t throw him under the bus until we know the facts.

1 pint can sometimes put you over the limit depending on the person and beer.

The arm band isn't some magic fleece that grants the bearer a special place in the squad. He can still lead, but he should lose the arm band on the pitch. It's largely symbolism.

It depends. I don't think there is any excuse for him to be the captain anymore. If he is not very serious and he apologizes sincerely, he may still have a future here

Will probably get the book thrown at him which will be typical as Salah was filmed on his mobile at the wheel and the police decided to take no further action.

They need to all be punished like a normal person.

IMO stripping of him of the armband would help no one.

He’s made a stupid mistake and been a fucking prick, which im sure he knows and he’s let everyone in his life down. Give him the chance to make up for it and as long as he works his bollocks to do that, on and off the pitch, then I’d still be happy for him to be our captain. One mistake doesn’t really negate a career of being a top role model on/off the pitch in my view.

Stupid.
Get him to make a grovelling apology, fine him two weeks wages and give the band to Kane for a week or two. After that he's back into the fold and we draw the line. Business as usual - provided he never does such a daft thing again.

He'll get his punishment under the law, just like any other person. I don't see why the club should punish him further.

I'm no expert about how long it takes alcohol to leave your system, but logically it's probably safe to say that unless he had his only drink after midnight, he had more than one drink.

It probably will and i’ll be pleased with it but Jan has been here through thick and thin for 7 years now, has been a rock at the back and continues to step up when we need him most. I’d say he deserves to wear the arm band while Hugo is out
Are you saying that Jan spiked Hugo's drink or am I getting the wrong end of the stick... :cautious:

Sorry there’s absolutely no way he can carry on being club captain. And if you disagree with this you really have no idea about the implications of drink driving. This isn’t a silly little mistake.
