I dont think it is disappointing. I think it just shows that there is a bit of a strategy finally which is we will wait till next summer to get our first choice. Liverpool have done it with great success (longer term) and with Bellingham who theyll get next year Teams like us and Liverpool cant do a Chelsea and spend 50m on players we dont need a year later when we can get our first picks a year later.

It may hinder us this season who knows but would rather save the cash for better players a year later that is all
Yeah exactly, I guess we have to see how lenglet works out.
But if our targets aren’t attainable now just save the money to go big for them next summer. If we spend 30-40m on stop gaps then it might see us short if they become attainable next summer.

getting say Traore in now for 15m to be our 6th forward with Moura leaving next summer it hopefully means the money is there to sign zaniolo if he is available.

Daily Express reporter saying Tanganga set to stay. If he did leave, they would have to replace with HG CB

God forbid we were to spend unnecessarily - I mean he’s been so great lately, it’s not like there could be an upgrade anywhere in the country ffs!!

Will turn 24 in the spring. Unfortunately for him it's just a bit of a waste of his career at this point.

Granted, he's seemingly always injured.

Lmao ‘conte would demand a homegrown replacement’ what utter tosh.
We won’t let Tanganga go now because we don’t have anyone to replace him with.

The new carter vickers
Maybe the anti-Carter-vickers… CCV wasn’t ever really resigned to being squad depth, instead he got loan after loan to play, develop, prove himself, climb the pyramid, and eventually emerge as the starter for a Champions League club.

Seems that he doesn't have a fixed position in that he's still either a CB or a RB.
I like Tanganga but I don't know how good he could become and I'm not convinced he would become the standard we expect

It's best for him to move on but there is a very good player there.

Outstanding 1vs1 defender, great at defending his box with blocks etc. However, he struggles defending with space behind him and is limited on the ball. I'm pretty confident he will thrive in the right environment.

Only if he can stay fit.

He pocketed some all-time great players, shame that his passing game never improved. He will do well somewhere else I'm sure.
