Tough match for him tonight but he will learn from it and hopefully become a better player as a result.

The first penalty was very very soft. Minimal contact if any. 2nd was his fault..

I hope Poch plays him again it will settle him down a bit. I've been wondering why Trippier was getting so much hate lately... I saw why today.

That was pretty much sport at it's most brutal, wasn't it. He was very solid in a game where we weren't having it our own way at any point, no matter what the scoreline read, but then two split second decisions when he was a bit exposed and under a bit of pressure (not helped by others) and all of a sudden it's not a solid PL debut anymore.....

You just have to hope that he's the type of person that will absorb and learn from it, and just brush it off and get on with the job. And on the bright side at least we won the game whilst having a young kid going through a tough experience like that. Who knows where he ultimately ends up in his career, but he's clearly got a lot talent and is a good prospect, I hope they persist with him and Poch doesn't lose faith.

Two great games back to back.

Put in a shit situation by Tripps - with what can only be described as an utter madness nutmeg attempt... I'd fine the fuck outta him - and then done by what looked like a harsh pen where he just used his body well.

He's gonna be top class.

Big big future ahead of him. I’m not letting the penalties get in the way of how pleased I am that we have him here. He deserved better from his more experienced team mates.

Thought he played really well. Trippier and then Trippier and Winks did him no favours for the penalties. Looks class carrying the ball forward, and knows how to pass. Sanchez continues to look like a bag of nerves, so I hope Poch plays him again soon.

I actually think Poch won’t black list him. He will probably play sooner rather then later. Poch will know this is a crucial moment in his development and won’t do anything to exacerbate what happened. He’s clearly talented and just needs more game time. He will be a very, very good player in time.

A bit unfair on Sanchez coming into a game like that having played back to back games virtually. I thought we were awful with our press they basically bypassed with a diagonal balls. Have to say Wolverhampton are an excellent footballing team getting 3 pts there shows a certain level of grit

I actually felt the first penalty was about as clear as they get, while the second was quite soft.

I wouldn't be worried about his play time. He wouldn't have started two primetime games in a row if Pochetino wasn't planning to unleash him fully. I also think Pochetino has his hand forced because Jan isn't comming back until a month at least, Dier will be more needed at CM and Sanchez is looking even more nervy than Foyth lately.

We needed Toby to show his experiance and leadership qualities during the 2nd half to steady and calm the defence, something he failed to do.
At what opportunity did he have to do that? Was he to make Trippier run around from the other side of the field?

I think he should take away from the game Trippier is a bit of a c?❤️T!

I was really impressed with him especially on the ball, shame he made the mistakes, which were both the cause of other players mistakes. Hopefully he will learn composure in the box.

A couple of times during the 2nd half he was caught out of position which added to the unsteadiness at the back.

Trippier totally deserves the shit coming his way for that attempted nutmeg, but as a defensive unit Toby needed to step up, show his experiance and leadership qualities and take charge of that defence, which he did’nt do.
