BC @ the fighting cock

"Also, Trippier hardly makes any of the total cluster fucks that Walker frequently made - and is still making - some of the things Trippier gets blamed for are just normal football stuff, like teams catching us with our FB's up the pitch and high line, or playing good passes inside the FB - the same happened Walker - but when it happened to Walker no one blamed him or called it a major blunder."

Getting the response

"Do you ever actually change your mind about a player? They seem to immediately be put in one of two categories and never moved:

Category 1) Brain dead bumblers, such as Walker, Dele and Son

Category 2) Sun shines out of their arse - Trippier, Bentaleb and Lamela fall into this category.

How do you decide which player goes into each category? Toss of the coin?"

Some things don't change.

To be fair that's happened a couple of times because he hasn't looked up and made the pass to the opposition for them to break on us:LOL:. I agree though the way we play that our fullbacks will be caught up the pitch but there's a lot of examples where Trippier has actively switched off and allowed them to run behind, Davies is even worse for that and it's glaringly obvious when you see Rose play the difference, who I don't think is innocent himself on that.

Made me lol from 1st page of this thread. 4 years ago astonishing really nothing has changed.

He must not have it, I'm pretty gutted and the way Trent has kicked on has added a punch to the gut on top. I always like to see our own come through.

If he can't displace Trippier and/or Aurier (he's clearly 3rd in line) then KWP can't be showing much in training

I get puzzled when people talk about Trippier's great delivery, I can barely remember him creating a goal.

I maintain the worse thing that happened to him was that free kick in the WC, it went completely to his head

he can curl the ball superbly with his right foot. thats probably why he's a premier league player.

Trippier plays like a netball player; constantly pivoting on the spot with the ball and never actually moving with it unless it's going backwards.

Aurier has put better balls in of late.

defending the indefensible or flogging a dead horse if you prefer.Wee tripps has a fantastic delivery in his locker but that's basically it mate,he is really weak defensively which is or should be his bread and butter, too small and too slow but above all else he continually lets you down on the big occasions and always has a mistake in him (just like Loris but that's another story). It's pretty much a black and white issue ,just let it go mate.

The mistake against Chelsea was primarily down to Lloris, it's pretty clear tbh...if it had've been any other player in the same situation, it would still have been Hugo's fault. The same Hugo who has made multiple poor decisions for a fair while, including such highlights as shitting the bed in the World Cup final, getting sent off against PSV for being fucking stupid and flying out of his box when he'd no need to, wandering out for no good reason against Barcelona, not ordering a taxi when he's had a fucking drink and of course, flying off his line again midweek there along with the poor decisions he makes with the ball at his feet.

Bit tired of reading the same vitriolic shite being parroted by the same people, if it wasn't for Trippier we'd be top of the League, Aurier is less of a liability (lol), KWP should start every game, Trippier is now 'arrogant' after having a good World Cup and having the audacity to point on a football pitch, Kyle fucking Walker this, Kyle Walker that, "Trippier let his man go" (in a zonal marking system) etc.

I get puzzled when people talk about Trippier's great delivery, I can barely remember him creating a goal.

We have to also account that both man city and Liverpool losses would equate to both of them being 2 points down. And us 2 points up. Let's not also forget wolves.

Would you like to rethink your original 'Top of The League' statement and admit you were wrong now or not? (Liverpool and City are 9 and 8 points clear of us respectively) Also curious as to which goal in the Wolves game we lost 3-1 he's so horribly responsible for to cost us the League title?

On the City goal (which of course was 100% solely his fault and the reason why we lost and in fact the reason we didn't win the game apparently)...can anyone maybe think of a reason why he's like this with Hugo (other than a blatant show of arrogance) afterwards?

It always baffled me that you couldn't grasp how defensive you got over Trippier and said that people had and agenda whilst simultaneously going at Aurier in the exact same fashion you were critical of. However the way you just complained about the way people going at Trippier in the same post as you absolutely just ripped into LLoris including bringing up his drink driving really takes the fucking cake, well played.

I wonder if he has something going on in his personal life. Like him or not he is off his usual form by some way.

The point being, the own goal was down to Lloris making a poor decision (like drink driving was a poor decision as well as the other numerous examples). It's not hard to see that Hugo's weaknesses are his decision making and kicking.

Maybe, just maybe people are getting 'ripped into' the wrong person (again).

(Like you actually did when you blamed him for a chance against Wolves that was created by Foyth switching off)

He played well today despite some quite terrible crosses. Still want him sold, but today at the NLD he was good.

he was totally run ragged by Iwobi at times, wasted glorious opportunities and couldnt outpace ozil. He's just not suited for this level.
