Thing is with Trippier, as I said before, he doesnt look and run like a footballer. Even looks a bit overweight.

Can he run? This is a serious question, always seems to be struggling to run properly..

I think we have underrateed the right back kyle naughton a bit
Naughton's problem was that he didnt add anything going forward. Walker's problems are he also doesnt add anything going forward, but that is covered up by his pace making everyone think he does, and is prone to a few brain dead moments defensively.

Trippier's problem is that he's rarely played. It's only fair someone who has rarely gotten a chance is going to look out of form. Especially when the player in front of him at RWF does absolutely nothing to help him on defense and attack. No he hasnt looked inspiring, but please, lets stop with these knee jerk reactions to someone whose only played like 3 games in 2.5 months looking poor.

Trippier had a nightmare.... I think people will have to appreciate Walker more. Saying that hopefully Trip will improve.

Too small and too slow to ever displace Walker. If anything Yedlin has more of a chance of doing that IMO.
If he keeps improving defensively and his positional awareness at Sunderland, he might have a slight. But he'll have to come back in the summer and impress in training, which Trix said he wasnt doing.

Its looking like we have to hope KWP progresses quickly.

Nah he's not mate. I've seen him tear both Holland and Germany a new arsehole recently playing for USA. Once he's adapted to the Prem we might have a winner there.
He was playing at RW for the US off the bench. But to be fair, Daley Blind is probably still having nightmares about Yedlin.

Don't know what's more laughable: his performance today or the fact people are fucking writing a player off after 4 games or so.

I don't think anybody's written him off, he had a terrible game and has been poor in his previous 3 or 4, so naturally people are going to be concerned. As it stands he looks a dud, that's not to say he won't turn it up a few notches in the coming months.

Not a good game, and I really don't think we are getting the best out of him offensively. He is a traditional full back, works the overlap, and was solid defensively last season.

In the current system our full backs are expected to get forward and provide the width but we are so arse achingly slow with the ball there is just not space to run into, and everyone else is at walking tempo so you wouldn't get the ball even if you were running into half a pitch of space.

For the second goal he has switched off criminally, but you can say that he was offered absolutely no help from those in front of him. The man on the ball could have read Shakespeare's complete works and still had time to play that ball.

Glad some are realising walker isn't as bad as they thought, but I still don't see enough team cohesion for players to come into the team and be able to perform near their best

Poor going forward but playing with Townsend in front isn't helping.
Poor defending but lack of cover or help from Townsend isn't helping.

He had a bad day today but he wasn't alone in that. I think there is talent there, as I do with Davies but it's not working yet for either of them.
