Joint most assists for a defender in the league, despite playing 4.5 times less mins than the next lowest.

Stats don't tell the whole store Rose and Walker on top form push teams back and impose themselves on the opposition and have the speed to recover and defend against top opposition. Trippier was exposed against Martial and to be honest it worried me.

I think with a bit more regular time in team and continuing under Poch's tutelage he should improve on that.

A big plus for Walker was that he was the size of a centre back playing at right back but not to detriment of his incredibly pace al athleticism.

Trippier isn't a small lad either and is actually bigger than Rose surprisingly.

I never said they did. What does Martial doing well v Trippier have to do with assists?

Pretty sure Trippier is the smallest player in our first team. Seen it referenced a few times on instagram live as there used to be banter at him and Carroll for it.

Yeah I thought he was a lot smaller too, maybe wiki fucked up?

Might have a look on transfermarkt or failing that track him down with a tape measure. :playful:

For me he's a far better player than Walker, who is criminally over-rated IMO. Delighted to see Trippier getting more regular playing time.

I think we really would suit three at the back with Trippier and Rose as wing-backs...also would also cash in on Walker for the right money, which I think might happen.

I like trips, but out of both of them Walker is the better player.
