Word on the street is that he had spaghetti bolognese for dinner last night.
Was he with Wanyama?

Hate against Auriers ridiculous. Proved his class away in Dortmund..he’s better than Trippier. He’s 100% been hampered by Pochs constant full back rotation IMO. Rose has come to the party last part of the season because he’s played nearly every match so can build form. Trippiers ‘delivery’ that he’s been living off has been a myth for over 2 seasons. Couldn’t believe what I was seeing at the WC and he’s lived off that free kick this season. Needs to go
That’s exactly the problem with Aurier though. At his peak he’s not bad, but he’s probably hit that in 2 games over two years. Entirely too inconsistent, and when he’s bad, he’s really bad. He got hauled off at halftime in an EPL game right before Dortmund and it was one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from a spurs player.
He is absolutely atrocious going forward to. No threat whatsoever offensively. If a cross of his stays on the field of play it’s a minor miracle.
I think we need to go the total rebuild route at RB. We made the huge mistake 2 summers ago by passing on Ricardo. Now we have to pay for it unfortunately.
Need to bite the bullet and pay for AWB.
I find it hard to believe Levy will let Trips go for 22 million. Im not his biggest fan but I dont think we can get someone better for that money.
Agreed, thought we might get 15mil max from some mid table side.£22m is low?
Sorry, but that's honestly way more than I expected to get for him.
He's 29 this year and has just had one of the worst individual seasons I've seen in a very long time.
I agree. Would he actually better than Stalteri at his peak for us? A lot of us a blinkered when it comes to how good he is. We just need pace and defensive ability at RB. Walker was our best RB in years and he couldn’t cross for toffee.£22m is low?

The World Cup was the worst thing that happened to Tripps. He got his recognition due to his quick and accurate delivery, smart forward passing into channels and steady enough defending. As soon as he came back with the "Bury Beckham" tag all that went out the window and he played games thinking he was peak Dani Alves. Attempting nutmegs in ridiculous areas, over-complicating his game, putting his team-mates in bad positions and now his confidence has plummeted as quickly as it shot up. There's still a tidy enough player in him though and I think a more tactical league like Serie A might suit him as he's got more technical attributes than he does physical ones. He's been truly dreadful this season however, probably our worst player, and although Sissoko has taught us not to write anyone of I think considering Trippier's age and the road he'll have to take to get back to where he was I think he needs to be sold on for the fees being talked about. Every winger we sign ends up getting converted to a 10 or a 9 so we need dynamic full-backs to provide width. Fresh blood needed this summer.
I think Trippier gets some over the top criticism on here, he is at his best when playing with a three at the back, he needs more freedom and he is NOT suited to a four at the back the way we play. He is not strong enough nor good enough defensively to play thay role week in week out. Perhaps he doesn't have the required fitness as well.
Very few full backs are, walker and TAA are the only two i can think of who can be both an attacking threat and defensively solid and are the level we need.
Aurier is the style of full back we need but has yet to prove that he has the consistency.
Personally I think Trippier would be perfect for the Italian game. I agree with selling him but we really need to lump some serious money on both full back positions.

The World Cup could have been the best thing that happened for us in terms of getting money for Trippier. Should have sold him straight after that competition. Would have got a lot more money.

damn it, they must have watched his season highlight reel.Serie A side Napoli have seemingly switched their focus from Kieran Trippier

Not only that, but why earth would we have sold a player who'd just had a decent season and then been one of the stars of the World Cup? Madness.Did we get any offers for him after the world cup?
