Properly on board with this one.

In truth I thought we never stood a chance of getting him. He was one of the top attacking talents in the World when PSG signed him, but I guess they’re two-a-penny at that club now and he can’t get a game.

HIs star has fallen but he’s still young and the talent is still there. He just needs a fresh start and a coach who can get his confidence back and make him work hard at getting his career back on track. Because it won’t happen without the sort of hard work Poch demands as a minimum.

If he went to a club like Chelsea or United he’d not be pushed as hard, and he’d end up bouncing around Europe for 7-8 years before retiring.

It just seems to make sense, for him and for us. If we can get it done though, what a signing this would be for Spurs.

Clever from the club, too, because there are far worse players going for a lot more money at the moment.

One other thing - the press we are often reminded are 1-2 days behind what is actually happening ... Food for thought.

Let's hope so.

I actually liked (and still like) Paulinho and am happy that he's doing well since leaving us but it was just never a good fit.

I dont know, the free kick where he and Ade parted like the Red Sea to allow a goal was right up there. And I agree, Paulinho was better than he was given credit for around here.

I'd consider something in the 30M range that type of offer, in this current climate.
Don't think the "this current climate" phrase applies to deals like this. These uber rich clubs looking to offload players don't ask for crazy prices. Real Madrid offloaded James at a reasonable fee, the Barca players are going for reasonable amounts, Serge, etc.

Just my 2 cents.
