PSG: contractual agreement between Lucas and Tottenham

The transfer of Lucas Moura to Tottenham is precise. After his trip to London on Thursday, the British leaders and the entourage of the Brazilian have signed a contractual agreement around a four-year contract. According to our information, the Spurs have aligned themselves with Lucas' Parisian salary. Now remains to find an agreement with the PSG, which requires 25 million euros, excluding bonus. The situation could settle down early next week, the end of the transfer window approaching. In the meantime, Lucas Moura is at Camp des Loges this Friday.

I have no idea how anyone could complain about this if it goes through. Why didn't he play at PSG? Well, he has two of probably the top five or so attackers in the world in front of him in Neymar and Mbappe. He was extremely well regarded a few years ago.

From wikipedia:

"During the summer of 2012, both Manchester United and Internazionale were reported to be interested in signing Lucas.[4] On 8 August 2012, Paris Saint-Germain won the battle and announced the player would be moving to the club in January 2013. He would be the club's most expensive signing."

He went straight from a Brazilian side into one of the top four or five clubs in the world. If he was not a top prospect, why would Man U and PSG be fighting over him. And we can get him now for a price significantly less that what we paid for Sissoko??? This is a no brainer and to get it in January is great news.

Aurier (for what they paid for him) has worked out pretty well and I think he will only continue to integrate better and improve. I would expect a similar situation here with Moura assuming it works out.

The most important aspect is that it gives us an explosive option from the bench or early on in games.

Every pacey wingers that we are going to sign can be thought as townsend/njie/nkoudou 2.0, ffs

Even if we signed neymar, some people would say he is townsend 3.0

In this market getting him for €25m would be a great deal! Cue Chelsea bid in 3-2-1....

If he has pace i am happy.

I genuinely have no idea if he will be any good.

His youtube looks like he could be a love child of theo and sissoko = sisscott

Im looking forward to us signing him if all goes to plan but its going to take him a while to get up so speed. As we saw with Aurier, the Premier League is a massive step up from the French league

Waiting patiently..

Straight into the starting XI or not, he gives us massive options to play according to circumstances.

But then it also calls for Poch's flexibility too... He gotta start making his subs earlier at least at the hour mark...

I'm not sure how we could sign a contract with 'the entourage of the Brazilian', if we haven't agreed a fee with PSG. Surely it's done and dusted and he's going back to clear his locker and say 'bye?!

Any tactical reason why? Or are you just trying to cram certain players in.

Poch tried at the beginning of last season to play a 4-1-4-1, and I guess this is a version of this. He has it in him to play with a 5-5 split of 'defensive'-'offensive' players, perhaps he just wasn't confident with the personnel when he used it then?
