For those of you that have seen more than a few youtube clips - could Moura play in a 3-man midfield - think 1 DM, and two more creative types playing in front of the DM?

More Coutinho, less Salah/Mane?

If so, could see he and Malcom both coming in, and playing on the right side - Malcom as a F, and Moura as a CM

I swear that he was a CAM when he first came to PSG from Brazil.

I would like to see something like:

Sonny Kane Malcom
Eriksen Lucas
Dier/Wanyama
Rose Jan Toby Aurier
Lloris

Not sure where Dele fits in - he won't be happy as a super-sub - but heavy rotation could keep everyone happy.

Doubt it will be that much knowing levy and when do people expect poch to start using him? His usual couple month integration into the squad? With the philosophy sign to train with the team I can't see him being used 1st few weeks. Has to get up to speed
I’d expect him to get a start against Newport. Fingers strongly crossed we get this one over the line.

I expect that his first few appearances will come from the bench - can't see him being match-fit for a while - given his inactivity for PSG, and Poch's fitness demands.

In that scenario, Malcom would be the more likely of the the two to be deeper

If we were to get this done tomorrow (I know, I know, Levy Time's a way off yet) could he realistically feature from the bench on Wednesday? If Lamela and Eriksen are both still struggling, we'll be short on creativity even with Son and Alli back in the side.

I believe the cutoff to legally play in the match is noon Tuesday. The guess of whether Poch would risk him or not if Eriksen and Lamela are out is anyone's guess. He did show with Sanchez and Aurier a willingness to play players on limited training.

LOL Dele would fits in ahead of one of Lucas or Malcom because he is a significantly better player, and much more productive, than both.

On his day. But, different skill sets really.

Dele is his most productive when he is playing a shadow striker role, and moving off of Kane. He is not really one to use pace and trickery to dribble past defenders - he is much more adept and making great off-the-ball runs and finding space without the ball.

Can't see how people think he can play cm. Looks a more accomplished Townsend type to me.
I don't know that anyone is - I simply asked the question because I had not seen enough of him to know any better. A lot of the clips I did watch showed him playing more centrally, and he looked like he could pick a pass - so I was wondering if he could be more like Coutinho.

It was just a question...

As a CM, or that advanced midfielder, where you've got Lucas, Dele is significantly better than both.

I think you're underrating Alli a fair bit tbh. He's not had his best year but his stats are still very good and you've got to remember Alli's done it in the PL. If Alli, Malcom and Moura are all fit, I'd still be going with Alli until the other two prove me otherwise

I love Dele - rate him very highly.

But, if you were trying to put together a high-octane attack - similar to Man City or Liverpool, I don't know that Dele's skill set is the best fit. As I said above, Dele's best attribute is his football-intelligence - probably the best on the squad by a comfortable margin. He understands how/when to make runs off the ball to find space, draw defenders, and create space for others. And you can argue, there is always room for a player with that skill set. But, if you are looking for players who will attack defenders more directly - like Sonny, Lucas and Malcom - then Dele is not as strong in that particular skill set.

But, even in my scenario - i imagine heavy rotation and everyone would get a lot of minutes. Plus, as people have pointed out - most don't think Lucas or Malcom would really fit as a CM, so it really is a moot point.

Both of Dele’s best games this season were at CM against Liverpool and Madrid.

That’s his natural position, just look how he was at MK.

Yeah your completely right about rotation, very rarely do we put out the same team week after week. Given the different options we would have, Poch could tailor his starting line ups depending on the oppositions weaknesses which we currently don't have the luxury of doing.
