I asked the question after Wednesday.

Since that night in Amsterdam, has he done anything really impactful for the team?

That was 4 years ago and I am struggling to recall.

He should have been sold whilst we still could have got something for him.

The problem with going for coaches like Jose and Conte is that they like players like Lucas because they are experienced rather than fitting a system.

If we had gone for Fonseca or Ten Hag etc, I'm willing to bet Lucas would have gone

I think Lucas did quite well (not brilliant though) in Jose's 2nd season when he played as a no.10. That's all

Ten Hag would have seen close up how good he was so would have given him a new conrtact

I didn’t get starting him at Sheffield and i didn’t get bringing him on at Wolves. I struggle to see what possible explanation our coaches could offer, he has been awful for a couple of seasons.

How do you go from almost having your contract terminated with the club to being our first choice attacking sub?

Yeah, that should be the last time we see him but Stellini and Mason seem to love the guy, so I'll expect he'll be back as the preferred attacking sub after he serves his suspension.
