For me that Ajax comeback was the best recent Tottenham memory and that's down to Lucas. Such an injustice that he didn't get to start the final 😞.
That was a real heartfelt message.

I'm not crying, you're crying.

Edit... just seen someone else posted the same earlier. Yeah, I'm sure a few of us feel the same. What a genuinely amazingly sweet guy, he's been an inspiration. From nights in Amsterdam to a worldie against Norwich, to being an ambassador for Brazilian newcomers like Vini, Lucas has been such a positive

Oh, shit. I wasn't expecting to tear up watching this. Incredible to watch a player who clearly loves the club as much as we do.

Imagine how emotional it's going to be when Hugo goes. I don't think I ever want to see it.

Don't forget he has helped every Brazilian that joined us since in settling. Will never forget that Vinicius video.

I think for what he brought off the pitch alone he should be credited. You can tell he was a big character in the dressing room.

That Vinicius video is below.

Not a winger.

Oddly enough.. Nuno seemed to be the only manager that understood Moura's natural game to create chaos through the centre.

Hey ho - lovely guy. I'm sure everyone wishes him well, I certainly do.

I think he has been much maligned by some people - I think his been a really good player who at a time when we have had outstanding forwards has been pretty dam decent himself - apart from the Ajax game his two goals at Old Trafford the first hat trick in the new ground and some of his other goals have been brilliant one last season was probably our goal of the season - we will do well to find back up as good as he has been

I've always thought that he is quite a simple, gentle soul.

All the best Lucas, hope you have a few more special nights, wherever you end up.

That commentary still rings in my head to this day; "OHhhh, they've done it!!"

Jenas in bits, Lucas leaping, Poch with his tie askew.

Build the statue.

First and foremost, what a lovely guy he is.

Secondly, he always tried. Frustrating at times but none of us could criticise his effort.

Third, its a team game but he gave me my most memorable night as a Spurs fan and I'll be forever grateful for that.

For as many issues as I have with his politics, he gave me the best night of my life. I hope he gets a good send off today. Thank you Lucas.

Does anyone else remember a video of some Ajax fans watching the match and counting down to the end of injury time? They got to 0, started cheering and then Lucas scored. It was hilarious.
