Spoke to a Fulham fan and STH at a work event last night, and he said Solomon isn't good enough for us atm.

Hmmm I wonder if it's the same name I got given yesterday (not ITK) the name is out there but AFAIK it's not hit the media elsewhere yet; I doubt he'd be cheap, and I've not seen him but my friend who follows closely rates him.
So I'm going to sit on it for now. I've just checked and the name has appeared in posts on here before but not by ITK
Please be Lee Kang-in, please be Lee Kang-in, please be Lee Kang-in, please be Lee Kang-in

Most probs Jota, who we did have some brief itk on but he’d be expensive so it’s unlikely

Agree

He can't even get into the Fulham side
He was kept out of the Fulham side by Willian, who was having something of a renaissance last season, i wouldn't judge him too harshly on that. Having said that, while i'd happily take him as a free signing, i do think on all the limited evidence i've seen that i'd rather just give Bryan Gil a chance in the same position, albeit Solomon proved to have a much greater goal threat. Of course if someone was offering £20m for Gil and we could get Solomon for free, that would definitely change my thinking !

Soloman's a better fit for us than Barnes imo. He's also 30m (?)cheaper which would allow us to spend big on CBs.
Solomon is more exciting than Barnes but Barnes is a very decent player, a bit more direct / powerful, Solomon a bit more agile and nippy.

Personally I’ve just had this feeling we want Xavi Simons for a while. I feel he ticks a lot of box’s in that he’s young, very versatile (last season he started 19 games on the LW, 17 AM, 6 RW and 5 CF scoring at least 2 goals in every one of those) fast, can score and create and good with the ball at his feet.

Personally I think we were really silly to pass on Kang-in and I don’t even think Simons would be the best option, I have far too many question marks around him and I just struggle with young players who excel in the Eredivisie. But I can very much see us liking his profile a lot especially if there’s any truth to the talk about us liking Nico Williams which is now not happening as he signed a new contract.

PSG have the €6m buy back clause up until end of July but there will be alot of interest should that expire and he wishes not to rejoin PSG.

He supposedly already said he doesn’t want to go back. Could be nonsense but that’s been the recent reports. Yeah there is a lot of interest, I think he’d probably be expensive, but I’m not sure how much firm interest there is.

I saw that too and that attitude might also spark Ange's interest as you'd imagine going back to PSG is the easy option for the kid but he wants to prove himself.

One to keep an eye on later in the window you feel.

Yeah it’s certainly a good sign. I do think he’s still a little raw for me at the moment tho as I said, he can also be a bit of a showboater and despite his 19 goals he does need to work on his composure. But I can also see us liking his profile a lot.
