It's like Pulp Fiction. Jules and Vincent are the intermediaries... getting the shit done, rolling up their sleeves. Levy is Winston Wolf coming in to fix their fuck ups and get the deal over the line.
I sometimes feel like Marvin supporting this club.

If we get this done soon I wouldn't be overly surprised if he starts against Brentford. If only because most of our other CBs aren't good enough/haven't been fit enough over the summer. So a new fit young CB isn't (to me at least) any more of a risk than a only recently fit Dier. And Ange I feel is too new to have any major allegiances yet so wouldn't be surprised.

Yep, Ange wanted him at Celtic so clearly rates him. Guy looks a unit too.

Only gives him a week (at most) to train with his new team-mates, who themselves are adapting to a new way of playing.
We need to be careful; he's young, fairly inexperienced and throwing him in could knock his confidence if it doesn't go well.
This is the big downside of leaving the key position of the summer til now.....

The deal will be virtually done already. This is a story put out by the PR team to make Levy look good - riding in to seal the deal
Better than ‘riding in to deal the seal’ - which, trust me, can get you into a bit of bother at London Zoo…

Same here but can't see Ange starting him the first couple of games with no pre season under Ange.
I think we will be stuck with Dier and Romero at the start.

Given that Dier and Rodon have been nursing injuries, it's not like our other CB's have had the most productive pre-season under Ange.

I'm not quite betting on VDV starting but more saying it's in the realm of possibility. None of it is ideal prep, but it's New Fit Signing VS recovering CB's, which in my head is pretty even.

Yeah tricky one. United and Brentford are both very quick and dangerous on the break so we could really use some additional pace in the back-line, but they're also both challenging games to throw a young CB into who barely knows the league or his teammates.

Think you can make a decent argument for both throwing him straight in or easing him in a bit more gradually. If we can get the deal over the line quick and play him in one of the friendlies, I think that would massively help.

True mate as l9ng as it's not Sanchez or Davies. I don't mind Davies but i think his more a fb then a CB and lacks enough pace for a high line.

Perhaps Postecoglu will think bugger it "to dare is to do" and just play him.
