Talksport radio commentary today on the game , no idea who the commentator tossers were but starting the Harry Kane style reporting, shouldn't Micky be with a bigger club sort of thing.

He’s going to get Jan comparisons because he’s a tall, ball playing left sided centre half. And he’s going to get VVD comparisons because he’s a Dutch tall, ball playing, left sided centre half. But there are also times he reminds of Ledley with how easy he makes things look.

Outside of the goals my favourite moment yesterday was when there was a forest ball over the top in the first half, and at first it looked dangerous. Then you could almost hear everyone around me relax - it’s alright, Micky’s coming over. In about 2 seconds it went from dangerous to looking like a close race to Micky getting there easily, bringing the ball under control, giving it to Vic and us starting another attack.

may have been the same incident I'm thinking of, but there was a ball over the top down the right channel, and for a split second, the Forest player (Gibbs-White) I think started to go for it before clearly giving up once he realised Mickey was making his way over.

Ledley is a good comparison. He also reminds of Woodgate: another elegant defender who glided around the pitch and was assured in the air and on the ground. Great with the ball and at his best he always looked in control of the match.

The one I’m thinking of was played down our right, and Mickey had to come all the way over. The guy did change (I couldn’t tell who it was from behind the goal) but Mickey beat him to it easily, and the crowd did their first Mickey song of the day in response
