Sad day seeing the beast leaving

Best of luck moose, your graceful glide will be sorely missed in this club and league

Sad to see moose leave. On his day an outstanding player, but if Levy has managed to get a transfer fee out of a player with only 6 months left on his contract, and coming back from yet another serious injury, then fair play to him.

Best of luck Moose!!

He's one of my favourite ever players. He was probably our most underrated player by fans of other teams. He'll be missed.

Shame he was so injury prone.

Was the best central midfielder in the league when he was fit and on form.

He’ll probably have to finish his career early so totally don’t begrudge him of this move and the big money he’ll be getting over there.

Yep, was unplayable at his best, no one could touch him.

Surely we have someone lined up to fill his quad place though? We need a midfielder or two even more now!

Good luck Moose

I'll always treasure his performance against Chelsea a few years ago when he came on and kept the ball and we ran out time and won. No matter what Chelsea did they just couldn't get the ball off him. Masterful match winning performance

Sad to see him go, was virtually unplayable when fit. Comments from fellow pros speak volumes. Belgian and Spurs team mates generally all describe him as the worst player to play against in training, impossible to get the ball off him or keep it from him. Too strong and too technical.
Just seems his body cannot cope with the demands of Poch and PL football. So a decent career move for him, less stress on his body’s could extend his playing days, and no doubt be lucrative during this period too. Best of luck to him. Absolute star of a player. Comes to something that whenever we played Utd I never feared Pogba’s power because I always believed Dembele would be on top of that.

Onwards for Spurs, our paper thin midfield needs bolstering, so what are our options? Of all the players I’ve seen, De Jong remains my favourite, followed by Rabiot but I just feel both will be on the wanted lists of more attractive propositions than us, and whilst they may consider us, it will be only after the Barca’s etc have ruled themselves out. Which may come too late for us. My realistic favourite would be a punt on Sander Berge, has the size and physicality to cope, but appears to have the technique on the ball to be a real asset. Can stride forward with the ball, and has a great passing range.
We cannot make do with what we have. Interesting to see whether we recall Onomah to pick up the squad space, and utilise Demeble’s Non HG status spot on a new forward instead. Options....

Going to miss Dembele like I missed Sandro after he left. Sad day. Dominated teams at his best. Shame he became so injury prone. Good luck Moose!

Sad day. Loved watching moose play when he could single handily control a game and loved seeing him put Jack wheelchair on his arse numerous times.

Good luck, moose. You will be missed.

I feel this is madness, given our current CM situation. You'd at least think, he would be able to play the remaining games of this season. He's been one of our key performers in the top-6 matches as well.

Where do we get anywhere near that quality for just the rest of the season, for that pittance of a fee? I understand that we'd like to help him, after his many years of loyal service, but why couldn't we just let him go on a free in the summer?
