Wow, the amount of utter balls being written in this thread is impressive. The lad had a bad game. So did MS for United, and most were raving about him as the second coming a few weeks ago - is he suddenly **** too? These things happen, and it's how he deals with it that matters.

Schneiderlin had a pretty decent game actually. Pass accuracy acceptable for a top 4 teams, loads of tackles, a few strategic fouls, not bad at all. If he had played for us, chances are you would have been quite satisfied with his performance yesterday.

Nope those that were raving about him, just ignored all his faults.

Like I have said before, the Lad has bags of potential, but he he has a lot of flaws and does make far too many big big mistakes. He needs to come on from the bench IMO, he simply is not ready yet.

Yeah! that what I want the whole world know how spurs fan in this forum to wake up! he' not good enough for Premier league level.
I don't want to wind you up any further on this and am not keen on having a go at anyone for their opinion but why Bentaleb? He's young and has weaknesses but the general consensus, with which I agree, is he's got great energy and a strong all round game. I think he's captain material personally.
I would have thought there are other players whose contribution has been less over the past season that you could have more reason to have a personal vendetta against.

I do. What sort are fan are you to write that on your profile? It's pathetic. I can see your 33 as well? So don't even have the excuse of being young and naive. Wow. "I hate Bentaleb"... Wow. Ignored.

Imagine if he not from academy and keep making stupid mistake week in week out, can't even pass in 3 yards properly most of your guys will never protects him like this...asked Chiriches , Stambouli .

This boy just the most lucky footballer in the world...never rated since first season lucky from Tim and now he still never learn how to pass properly lucky annoying character bastard boy he think he already big in the team and people on here keep saying how important how amazing he is wow! I see nothing can't pass can't defend what good about him oh he's from academy!

PS. Don't judge I'm anti-academy player yet - I'm support every academy boy that good enough my fav boy like Oduwa, Onomah, Veljkovic, CCV , Winks, Caroll , KWP, Edwards and the new exciting boy from MK Dons Dele Alli I really like Alli I want Alli to take Bentaleb place soon, he's a real deal better all around footballer.

Oh and yes Bentaleb still young he can learn one day so what ! keep him repeat stupid mistake school boy error week in week out that' okay for you guys?? This is one of the Best club fighting in TOP 4 places no room for school boy error please! If he can't provide real quality for team then first teamer not place for him, this is how bad our club keep promoted the wrong boy.

I don't really like Bentaleb attitude he think he already big for the team and want big money already he still not prove anything for me he good enough , I observed him very close I see how annoying character he is...never a fan of him sorry.

Moving away from over the top criticism, I've never been a fan purely because he purveys everything that I cringe at in a midfielder. He gives the impression of taking responsibility by demanding the ball, but 9/10 gives it back to the very player who he took it from. This would be okay if that player had then advanced into a dangerous position, but that has never happened, most probably because that player is almost always a centre back. He gives you the impression of being a midfield dictator but watch Carrick yesterday, or even ten minutes of Schweinsteiger, Bentaleb has not once looked like that. He's also frighteningly unimposing for a fairly big lad, shocking when you consider how involved Mason is, who is very spindly by comparison.

I could live with Bentaleb's mistakes yesterday if they were with remotely adventurous passes, but they weren't, they were with basic six yard passes and they always are. That either shows a terrible decision maker, a player with no awareness or a player too lazy to take a glance before passing. It's one thing conceding possession when you're outside the opposition area and it is congested by opposing defenders as well as your attacmers, but under little pressure and in your own half with most of the pitch to play with it is inexcusable, especially when your purported key strength is to enhance your teams possession with intelligent and purposeful passing.

The boy has a nice touch and is very athletic, but I don't see a good midfielder in there. I sincerely hope I'm wrong and what everyone else seems to see prevails, because I just have no idea what he contributes in either direction and he's not even beat and tidy. Jenas was neat and tidy and I couldn't stand him really, but at least he chipped in with a good share of goals and assists. And he also played in a midfield two his entire career so it's not as if he had more remit to go forward.

Yeah okay 20 years old, he's still a kid, some perspective please
And I think that perspective is (and I think a lot of other peoples), that he needs to be a sub, he is not ready for controlling the centre of the park.

He needs to be an understudy to Parker, David's and learn his trade.

Do I want him to leave Spurs, no I don't, I want him to learn amd be the best he can and I feel on this occasion, throwing him into the dragons mouth will break him. Being a CM is big big responsibility and all winning sides have that strong individual in midfield that does the dirty work, pulling the strings. Bentaleb is not there yet... One for the cup games, hell yeah.

Ok. You don't like him. Your views are your views but your personal attacks on him don't add any credibility to any potentially valid points you may make. I'm making no further posts on this as you seem to have more against Nabil than to simply not rate his footballing ability. good luck.

Funny how everyone was pleading with the club to get him a new contract in the summer yet no-one was saying he should be a bench player.

Anyway I'm on about the OTT criticism of him which is undeserved, he does need to buck his ideas up but let's not start calling him shit just yet.

Someone needs to hand out Prozac to everyone entering this thread .
Your pessimism after one game is frankly morbidly embarrassing

I can guareentee you that I wasn't, in fact, as usual, I stirred up a hornets nest in that thread for saying the complete opposite from what everyone was saying...

I think I told him to f off he he wanted big man wages, whilst achieving nothing.

I think the OTT is frustration mainly, not so much at Bentaleb, but at the club for constantly not addressing what everyone can see and there being no real alternative either.

I am sorry, but a lot of fans put a lot of time, money and emotion into the club they love.

And when you see player who is not ready to take on the mantel of being a leading figure in a CM role, start demanding bigger wages, then fuck up like he did yesterday, I think people will right call a spade a spade.

It is not pessimism for seeing and pointing that he is completely out of his depth and not ready yet.

How the fuck is he out of his depth if he was our best midfielder last season in a season where we finished 5th? For one bad game involving Bentaleb, I could name 15 good games. But that's the problem with some people, once someone has a bad game, it's the end of the world and suddenly everything good they've done is forgotten. The same happened with Rose last season, he was having a very good season and then he had one bad game (against Leicester I think) and suddenly loads of people came back to say how bad he was.
