I think he's getting better but we also saw the difference in level last night between our midfield and rice
Rice is a brilliant player though, and a good few years ahead of Skipp in his development. West Ham are going to have a fight holding onto him.

He’d be straight into the team in any of the top clubs imo.

Rice has massively improved in last year, probably physically more blessed than Skipp. But I’d say Skipp is naturally more tenacious. They would make a very good pairing for England in years to come if you want a very solid 2 in midfield.

I’m a big fan of Skipp but thought it was a bit much for him last night, not sure if it was covid lingering or what?!

Declan Rice is superb though, he’ll be gone soon enough

It’s never going to help being paired with a player who’s positional decision making is shocking against a dynamic midfield

Really is getting very good. Said from the beginning he had that old school swashbuckling style about him, pretty rare in a modern day midfielder. A bit of the Bryan Robson or Paul ince about him.

The only real swashbuckler we ever have was the one and only Dave Mackay.

Another solid game from him today. He's getting forward a lot more and I have a feeling he'll score a goal before the season is out.

If he can work on his composure in and around the box he’s going to be a very very good player.

I might possibly explode when/if he scores!
It's the only thing he needs, in my opinion.
His positional play, all over the pitch, and passing has been superb and improving by the game.
I want him to score so badly!

He reminds so much of Barella at the beginning of his (and Conte's) Inter career. No surprise Conte has picked him in every match he's been available for.

Agreed. He's got time on his side and the perfect manager to help develop that side of his game.

He put up some crazy passing and duel stats today ( though Palace were down a man for the entirety of the 2nd half ).

He’s putting together a season reminiscent of Wanyama’s season where he was a 7,8 or 9 out of 10 every single week. He’s superb. Shame we don’t have a silky Dembele next to him!

Such a good player and just 21. If he can develop his offensive game a bit more and have better quality shots he will have the lot

Plus I can't see him ever leaving the club so if he does get ridiculously food don't think bigger teams would be able to get him

It's just trying to workout best CM partner for him

Continues to impress in every game, just seems to be getting better and better, if he starts to add goals he will become hot property very quickly.

He looked solid from the off with an energetic performance against City in the first game. What I like most though is seeing how quickly he has progressed already this season in just a few months. So glad Conte is in charge now, it will do wonders for his development.

His progressive passing needs to improve I think we haven’t played against a good midfield yet under conte bar Rice who bosses our midfield. Liverpool had a very poor midfield when we played them. The Leceister game would have been a good indication if had gone ahead.

The arse and Chelsea games will be telling along with who Conte brings in in Jan.

Conte doesn’t have time to wait for players he has one full season next year so will be telling which midfielders he brings in

I think he’ll put pressure on Phillips in the England setup before the World Cup. Prob too late to displace him though.

My MOTM yesterday

Fantastic over the 90mins. Conte already looks to be working his magic on him

Could become a cracking player in the middle of the park. If he can add a goal or 3 he’ll start to be talked about by the ‘big boys’!
