He's talking about Sarr to Cremonese or something like that.
Yeh. Just find it interesting we’ve cancelled it when Bentacur only out for two games. Makes me wonder if we had wanted a cm to replace him

I thought the same. Best to just keep our player. He looked fine in preseason. A young player who will do fine as a back up. Might let us free up someone like White on loan now too.

Hopefully we don’t stifle Sarr’s development too much as there’s so much competition in front of him.

Does this mean that Bentancur is a serious injury keeping him out for several weeks and months? if not this is insane keeping him here to "rot" on the bench after maybe needing him for 1 game?

Given Skipp's recurring injury issues and the fact that concussions are rarely a one and done type of injury without lasting effects, keeping Sarr in the squad is a smart move. He's not going to "rot" - he's in a new country, training and learning from one of the most demanding coaches in the world, all at 19 years old. He's going to feature in cup games all while learning the system and if the club determine he needs an extended loan, we can always revisit in January, where clubs will be engaging in more loans given the hectic nature of a mid-season WCup.

I wouldn’t be too concerned if Sarr stays with us until the January window. He’s a 19 year old kid who have had two full seasons in Ligue 1 he’s been a part of the squad who won the African Cup of Nations and he is heading to the World Cup in a couple of months.

Being allowed to learn Conte’s methods and get to know the club for a couple of months isn’t necessarily a bad thing IMO.

The idea that Sarr's development is in some way going to suffer by staying with the first team until January when just having moved to a new country and under Conte's wing is not it for me. He's younger than Harvey White. A few months of further integration can only help the lad, especially with how much weight Conte gives to understanding how he wants to play. Rather he goes off in January with another few months of Conte coaching than going now and getting battered in a struggling Serie A team, and that's disregarding any injury to Bentancur.

He also looks like he's integrating with the rest of the squad well in some of the training videos which will help a lot in the long run.

He played the full 90 and though he should have scored, he played very well for Senegal in the friendly vs Bolivia. All action performance and you wouldn't guessed that he hasn't started a game for us this season. I know we have a ton of games upcoming in October and I hope he does get minutes off the bench and also, Conte should consider letting him get minutes with the U21's just to keep his match fitness and sharpness up.

I know it's only Bolivia but he does look good. He really does connect defence and midfield the way Dembele did

Thanks for the comp!

On his playing time, he’s only likely to be in CL squads (bigger bench) now that Skipp is back in the squad. Unfortunately don’t see him playing anything until the domestic cups begin.

He looks like he has put a bit of size on since last seasons highlights. Hoping a season coaching with yaya can bulk him up as he looks like he has the tools to become a similar player to him

Couple things about his performance that caught my eye were how effective his pressing was and how often he won the ball from players cleanly. At Metz, from the few games I watched, be it team instruction or his own reticence, he wasn't as aggressive in the press and he was more "reactive" than "proactive" about winning the ball back. It seems like he's been taking on instruction from our coaches and has been really learning from the others CM's in our squad.

I know it's a small subject size but he looks very comfortable in his international team, always showing, and moving into space, lots of first time forward passing and he has that crazy Bentancur press down. Good balance and acceleration too which is not always the case with players of that size/build.

A lot to admire. (y)

Lots of one-two's as well. Pass and move, what a sight to behold

Can't get over the height difference in the players. Once you notice it, you can't stop seeing it.
