as good as he performs in each game, he still has room for improvement, such as his passing and crossing. i know that is not his game. but he still can improve.

also, his long range shots. i know he can score from long range. but so far, still not good enough.
Are you stating that a 19 year old isn't the finished article?!

Very young, for me the encouraging thing is that he clearly does have the ability it’s just consistency he has to add in that area. What a talent.

I've seen it mentioned on other dark sites that we won't mention, but during the week a ton of fans were calling for Bentancur to slot straight back into the first team.

I disagreed completely and I feel even more assured of this today. What a signing this lad is turning out to be. My goat for the season.

Yes he has some improvements to make, but he is class already at such a young age.

Bents is going to have to earn his place back in the team, unless rotation is needed and obviously during AFCON, but he by no means goes straight back into the starting 11.

The Bissouma/Sarr effect is too strong at the minute.

I think it's what we call a good problem.

We were desperate for Bentancur to return. Now central midfield is our strongest position. It means we won't need to rush him back and when he is back we'll have competition for places.

Bentancur should be rotated in from the second he's ready. It might be harsh on others dropping out, but we can't not prepare for losing Sarr and Biss in Jan.

I don't know, maybe you are on to something with the crossing, but I think his passing in general is on a high level for the type of player he is and where he is in his career. And I appreciate that he mixed things up with long range shots now and than (although they could of course have been better so far).

Of course, you are absolutely correct in saying he can improve though. I'm just not sure I would single those thing out, personally.

If there is one thing I feel he could do better this very moment, it is his positional discipline in attack. He's so mobile and moves around a lot to an extent he sometimes find himself way too far from Deki and Porro. They get left alone far more often than our left side, who seemingly always have Madison to combine with.

But overall, I'm so, so happy with him. What a player!

Well anyway, I'm just happy to see the 23 year old teenager playing well for us.
Surely Head of Service Assurance due a testimonial at the end of the season. Fantastic service he’s given the club.

What it this predicated on?

AFCON starts on the 10th of December, roughly 9-10 match days from now. There’s no reason to rush Bentancur back into the team just because of AFCON. We have more than enough time to allow him to get fully back up to speed and then rotate him in closer to December.

If you’re predicating this on his form before his injury it’s irrelevant. He simply won’t return at that level immediately. It will take a lot of time, if he reaches that level again at all. The injury was one of the worst a footballer can have and it’s highly unlikely he comes back and delivers the same. I hope he does, but it will probably take a long time to regain that form.

So again, I don’t see how it’s fair or even following logic to shoehorn him back into the squad. We can take our time and it’s a great luxury to have.

He's the engine of the team, puts a lot of fires out that may at times seem insignificant but stops the flow of attack.
He has pulled a fair bit ahead of Skipp and already jumped ahead of Hojbjerg. If it wasn't for him we would be missing Bentancur a lot more.

You mean a bit like when Sissoko was here - left when he was about 96 and still hadn't mastered any of the above.
