Lloris performance against Wolverhampton was superb a timely reminder of his capacity. Gazza has though overtaken Vorm and Lloris has to be on his toes.

He needs to command area better and looking more assured with crosses onto the box. But as a back up he is very good

Only cech and Romero and pope/Heaton are better as back ups imo

Whoever is Burnley's 3rd choice we should sign as our 3rd choice and bin vorm

Seen quite a few paper/twitter rumors about our interest in Nick Pope.

I like Gazzaniga and hopefully he now becomes our permanent number 2 over and above error prone Vorm. My only concerns with Gazzaniga and as seen with Lloris too is they both struggle with crosses into the box and both suffer from poor clearances. I’m sure we’ve had ITK before that Gazzaniga wasn’t deemed good enough to be a number one due to his poor kicking and lack of consistency.

If we bought him for £10m this summer I think people would have a very different view of him. I’m still trying to work out why he was a No 3 till 26. Like what’s the catch, is there something really obvious nobody is seeing or has told us ?

He was pretty awful before joining us apparently.

His kicking is not an issue. One of his. If strengths. There's a video earlier in the thread where he pinging it around like a classy midfielder. His problems I think where mobility and reactions. He's a big big lad, but he seems to have adapted and grown reactions.

Genuinely surprised someone hasn't suggested that we should try him there.

Seeing Gazza have really passed the test as our back-up goalie, I'd wish the club to pay up Vorm's contract and release him free so that we can have a HG no.3 goalie and use the non-HG spot to buy foreign if we can't sign another decent HG player in the coming TW.

He was pretty awful before joining us apparently.

In his season at Rayo Vallecano before joining us he made 32 appearances out of 42 played they finished 12th and conceded 44. However that was the 7th best defence record in the league. Be interesting how many he actually conceded.

He seems to have finally become our second choice, and is at a point where he can push Lloris. As others have said, I hope this enables us to cut Vorm loose early and give and reduce our non HGs. Give the third spot to a young gk like Whiteman if he’s ready. The fact that we pay roughly £4m/year to Nkoudou and Jansen to not even register them domestically or continentay is mad, throw in that Foyth also had to miss our on CL registration and it gets worse. £5m a year on players who don’t play at all.
