You'd assume he's had few days to stuff ready over in Portugal ready to go after final, if it was me I'd fly over tonight.

And if he’s looking for a night in a six-star hotel, you couldn’t find better than The Lodge. “Absolutely amazing, great beds, huge pillows. Huge pillows, amazing, you sleep in the middle of five or six huge, soft pillows. very, very good.”

Liverpool City and Arsenal haven’t signed specialist Wing backs for a 3 atb system and then had their manager leave ?

Chelsea is a better comparison. They went from Conte to Lampard I think who struggled a bit, Tuchel came in and moved them back to a back 3 and won the CL, now they’ve switched to Potter who is also capable of coaching a back 3 so they’ve kind of had to hire managers who keep playing a back 3.

Could James play as a RB instead of a RWB I think so but I don’t think he’d be as effective and might be suspect defensively. Chillwell can play LB as he was a LB before Chelsea signed him.

So you’re right some attacking full backs can play wing back but as I’ve explained before they are much more different positions than people think.

For example Perisic is a great LWB, can be play LB ?(absofuckingloutleynot). Could Udogie a specialist LWB play LB ? Possibly but he’d need time to adjust to the new positioning.

Porro I have less concerns with I think he could play as an attacking RB or. RWB.

Emerson for example, good solid RB, but totally unsuited to RWB and has taken about a year to start putting in suitable performances in that position.
Think my point wasnt clear, mate.

What I am trying to say is that despite TAA, Zinchenko and Cancelo operating as FBs, they are not renown for their defensive abilities. They are actually quite average in this regard and defensive positioning is something that has let all of them down.

However, they defend on the front foot, so if we changed to a coach who uses a back 4, then it wont be an issue if he plays on the front foot.

Like Reguillon at Sevilla, in a back 4. He was aggressive and not the greatest defensively but it got the best out of him offensively.

If we got in a defensive coach who uses a back 4 then of course, youd see his weaknesses much more and we'd suffer.

I think Porro has those qualities that allow him to defend on the front foot and in 1v1s. Like when we had Rose and Walker.
