It's not that I'm not positive about either of them, I'm just realistic and understand the reality of it all. Fact is the way these young players are built up on here it's no wonder they rarely live up to the hype. When they don't hit the ground running they are scapegoated within weeks.

One week they are destined for the Balon D'or, the next shit and should be shipped out to a Championship club. I have big hopes for both, I don't believe however it will just necessarily happen overnight, or that either will automatically just walk into the first team.
100% a 'modern football' problem. It used to be 'you're only as good as your last game' but with the advent of social it's so bad now that you could score a hat-trick but miss a penalty in the same game and it's the penalty miss that gets remembered. You're only as good as the last time you touched the ball these days. Peak short-termism.

@TheChosenOne no probs on the dislike mate you can have your opinion but surely you can see that we are well well short at the moment and Porro and Danjuma will make a bit of a difference but add another CB or zaniolo to that and that would make a big difference.

Im not being negative if that’s why you disliked my comment, I can just see how short we are still and want us to have the most successful 2nd half of the season possible and for that I think 3 players in not just 2 would make a big difference just like in summer if we’d got an extra AM over the line we’d have had far less issues this season when all the injuries hit to Kulu,Richy etc ?

I'm the fat finger King of SC. Apologies - would have seen it quicker but I had my pensioner's afternoon nap.
I never give out neg reps unless they are in error. I'm a leftie in a right hand iPhone world

Nice expansion of your theory though - It's a winner for me !

Dave Hytner saying we had a bid rejected as recent as this morning.
But still close and negotiating.

This has been some long winded negotiations haha.

I’ve just watched some YouTube’s of him. Players get a lot of space in the Portuguese league is my synopsis.

Pedro Porro: hammer between Tottenham and Sporting hasn't been beaten yet, but negotiations today have advanced considerably. Two meetings on the same day, inclusive - the second is in progress. The sale to the English club, if closed, will be for 45 million euros

Do I understand it correctly, that in Portugal the release clause must be activated by the player? Meaning that for Sporting to be obligated to accept a transfer, we would have to pay the 45m in one go, via Porro himself, which is then subject to income tax and all those shenanigans? If that's the case I think I can understand why the club is hesitant to "just meet the release clause". Even just trying to negotiate a very similar fee spread out over a longer period of time, where we don't have to pay the extra 10m or so just on taxes, means that already Sporting are no longer under any obligation to accept it.

I might be in the minority of 1, but I just don’t get this signing. I’d loved to be proven wrong.

We are collecting RWB / RB for fun. What if Conte is off ? What if the new manager doesn’t fancy him ?

Just a bit perplexed
