Tottenham grow frustrated at Sporting's negotiations

Tottenham and Sporting Lisbon are continuing talks over a deal for Pedro Porro today.
However, Spurs are growing increasingly frustrated at Sporting dragging out negotiations.
Sky Sports News understands Spurs are prepared to meet Sporting’s financial demands for Porro.
He has a £39m (€45m) release clause in his contract. However, Sporting are still not keen to sell him in this transfer window.

Yeah I can’t see this being completed until next week. Which sucks because it will deter from other requirements.

Surely, if reports are correct that we've accepted Sporting's request that he play in their cup-final, this deal won't be completed until after then anyway? Unless we've agreed some kind of one-match loan, which I just can't see.

Just seems like Sporting would really have to drag it out for him to play on Saturday, unless both sides are putting their own media spin on it. Maybe Sporting wants Porro to remove himself from selection or something to further make it look like they did everything they could on their end.

I can't imagine even if it was close to be wrapped today/tomorrow that anyone on our side would remotely allow him to be in the squad

I agree, I fully expect this to be announced on Monday, or possibly even Tuesday once the media is done. Until then it’ll feel slow and painful but I’m sure is just a matter of waiting. I expect we’ve inserted some sort of ‘non-compete’ clause so Chelsea (or anyone else) can’t steal in before it’s completed. So basically I expect it’s done but not ‘done’.

If this move does get completed ? I'm interested to see how he links up with Deki.

Something I've noticed last few matches is that Deki seems a bit wider than usual and that's where the space has been for him. Last season on unbeaten runs, Kulu and Doherty shared some overlapping areas, but it worked wonders.

Really hope Kulu and Porro click together instantly!

Why is everyone suddenly shitting themselves? Is it because of something Lyall said in a tweet that he’s now deleted?
A couple of reports this morning have said we're slightly frustrated at how long it's taken (Including Gold)... but all the reports and everything still say the deal is gonna get done. With rumours/news last night that Sporting want him for their cup final this weekend then all good.
