This will happen, he'll play the final and then come to us but once it is all done and dusted can we resolve never to try to buy from a Portuguese club again.
Fuck sake it's exhausting.
In general transfers feel more protracted these days, because the likes of Romano are giving hourly updates. There’s a lot more “sources” of information and a need to constantly produce content that makes things more wearisome.

I actually don’t mind the guy playing a final to possibly grab himself a trophy before he leaves, my only fear is we’re spurs fans, and knowing our luck ‘going out with a bang’ will refer to the noise his Achilles makes in the 93rd minute of the game ??‍♂️

Feel like people actually want us to not sign this guy so they can use it to bash Levy and the board.
One transfer is not going to affect the general consensus. Sure there are people who will use this to slam Levy if it fails as there are people who would slam Conte if we bought Zaniolo as there are those that will use Royal to slam Paratici etc etc. But most people here who want Levy out have come to that conclusion long before our interest in Porro and will continue to have that feeling regardless of whether or not we sign Porro. Any real fan will want this to happen along with any other target our manager wants because they know this will ultimately make us stronger.

Or as the last 4/5 pages have said, he has a cup final this weekend, so probably won't move until after it

Looks like Chelsea are getting the Lyon RB after all (so much for Aulas and his ridiculous statements), so that rules them out too

How many more players are they going to sign? ? It’s reaching Nottingham Forest levels now!
Hopefully the Porro deal gets sorted and sure it will: one of the longest pending transactions I’ve known ?

As I said before, I really do think this is all done and dusted. They have given permission for him to play in the final. But I'm sure they're also discussing mitigating circumstances that impact the transfer, should he get injured in the final. IE: If he's crocked for three months because of this game, the terms of the payment structure must change. Any sensible business person would surely bake that into a deal like this.

And yeah, I don't see this being announced to Monday either. I'm probably being far too optimistic, but I feel like this is already done and dusted. I'd like to think we are instead now looking at potential last minute opportunities.

If only it was like the simple days of teletext/ceefax

I think this is a form of copping mechanism people have adopted, if things don't go to plan.

Well, on my Football Manager save he was responsible for 2 goals as we beat Newcastle 4-0.

Gave the ball away on the six yard line for the first, and conceded the penalty for the second. He's my new favourite player!

This won’t be complete untill Monday hoping to get him flown in Sunday for a late medical . Him playing is ludicrous but that’s the terms set and we ain’t gonna get him any sooner.

the loose ends of the transfer seem to be taking longer then the intense negotiations.

we are confident of a conclusion .. stranger things have happened so don’t count all your chickens untill Pedro is official .

To add the meeting arranged today was on our side as tried to make it even more favourable then what was agreed on the original offer. The conclusion was nothing will change untill Sunday . We don’t want it lingering or collapsing last min barring an injuring or any other factors which could cause time to run out .Spurs have been leaking to the press the sporting lack of urgency of concluding the deal . The player also gave his wish to play which annoyed us .

The club know they cannot afford for this deal to fall like so many others before. No more plan b,c,d doesn’t evolve the team and dilutes the squad in quality .

I think we go in to every window with the aim to have most drawn out transfer of all clubs, will look like utter fools if this is not finalized, just get it done.

We are about to spend up to 40M plus on a player and are going to let him play in a Cup final.. Laughable
