Conte will improve him even further and he also will still be adapting to the league.

This guy is a full on baller. Proper quality on the ball and reading of the game. Dare I say it looks like he's going to be the best CM signing we've made since Dembele.

Its very obvious this guy possesses quality and high football intelligence. Once he gets used to the pace of the league he will be class for us!

Caught in possession a few times and hopefully he can get that out of his game, other than that looks seriously good and adds mobility and athleticism into that midfield.

Can’t wait till he’s fully settled. Looking forward to seeing him in a three man midfield at some point too.

Him and Romero are excellent signings but sadly the only excellent signings under Don Paratici
I’ve replied in Paratici thread about the signings in general but I do agree that Bentancur looks a player.

I said this at the time when some were worried based on a few views from bitter spoilt juve fans.

He’s a class player and certainly an upgrade for us

There were a few times when he was the defending by being the highest player on the pitch and harassing his man right back to the goalie. Love him. Love the fight in him.

This guy is class. Can't believe we got him so cheap. Works hard. Wants the ball all the time. Tackles really well. Heads and looks for good forward passes. Perfect for us.

Saw both the best and worst of him today. Some lovely defensive moments and some good stuff in possession, but if Winks had given the ball away on the edge of the box 3 or 4 times like he did there would've been calls for a lynching in the match thread.

Fingers crossed that was just him adjusting to the league and City's very heavy press but it is something Juve fans complained about so I think it's an area he needs to work on. Regardless he's still a big upgrade on Winks as he reads the game well defensively and gets stuck in, whereas Winks is like a ghost off the ball.
Winks would take 5 seconds to make a decision and lose the ball with sloppy sideway and back passes. A master of making passes without intent and purpose, a cowardly man.

In contrast, Bentacour took responsibility, only make positive passes and tried to relieve the pressure by carrying the ball whenever he could.

Not everything comes off but the contrast in intention is obvious. One is cowardly and only thinks of saving his own skin, the other tries to win the game of football.

He got caught a few times today trying to keep composure in our game, however he didn't hide and that says a lot for me.

I love the way he covers so much ground, he glides around the pitch and has a hell of an engine.

Yep finally we’ve bought a proper footballer in there at midfield. It’s only taken 4 years!

He looks very assured and confident in possession. Once he gets 10/15 games under his belt and he’s used to the league I think he’s going to look a snip at the price we paid for him.

this, so much. To have the fitness, tactical awareness, discipline and desire to keep sprinting forward 15-20 metres closing down passing lanes and then get back into position. Won’t b shown in those 3 min individual highlight clips cos he didn’t touch the ball, but him (and Peh, and Sonny n Kulu tucking in) didn’t allow city to play in the middle much at all; they kept having to go wide.

one of city’s least shots on target game - they had 21 shots and only 4 on target. Whoscored.com said their average is 18.5 shots and 6.7 on target.

everything else has been mentioned by others - the composure, technical ability on the ball, playing the right passes.

Solid showing against a thoroughly organized and lethal City press. He will definitely learn from experience and improve.
